Hotel Bharath turned out to be a true gem during our trip, located right in the heart of Thrissur and offering an array of mouth-watering vegetarian dishes starting as early as 6:30 AM. Out of our four-day stay, we made it a point to visit this place every day, whether it was for a quick snack or a refreshing cup of their excellent filter coffee.
Service: The service here is impressively quick. To give you an idea of the speed—our Dosa was served in just 7 minutes, and the Sambar Vada arrived at our table within a mere 2 minutes. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff ensures that you never wait too long for your food.
While it specializes in South Indian cuisine, this restaurant also offers North Indian snacks, which was a pleasant surprise. We highly recommend trying their Chana Bhatura—a perfect North Indian dish if you're in the mood for something different.
We visited this place at both 6:30 AM and 10:00 PM, and no matter the time, it was always packed with customers. During peak hours, we had to wait for about 5-7 minutes to get a table. However, if you're open to sharing a table with others and aren't in a large group, the wait time can be reduced to almost nothing.
Another interesting aspect of the restaurant is its immense popularity with food delivery services. Throughout the day, from 7 AM to 11 PM, we noticed 4-5 Swiggy and Zomato delivery personnel constantly picking up orders. This steady flow of delivery drivers is a clear testament to the restaurant’s high demand and quality.
Overall, Hotel Bharath is a fantastic choice if you're seeking quick, flavorful vegetarian food in Thrissur. Whether you’re stopping by for a snack, a full meal, or just a great cup of coffee, this place is...
Read moreIt's a locals favourite and quite famous with tourists too. But I couldn't able to find that wow factor with this restaurant as I felt the dishes were above average to good but definitely not extraordinary.
Located in the major business hub of the city, you can get exact directions to this restaurant on Google maps. The restaurant is huge and can host a good number of crowd. Still during the weekdays evening it will be difficult to find a table and most of the time you have to share your table with others. The ambience is upscale and feels moderately luxurious.
The service is good especially considering the service pace to such a huge demanding crowd. The staff is well trained and knows their menu very well. All my orders were delivered to my table on time.
I went with the others recommendation over Google reviews and ordered Ghee Masala Dose - Vada, Ripe Banana Bajji and Grape Juice. Dose was not at all impressive but it was not bad either. It just didn't meet my expectations. Vada on the other hand was quite good and tasted better with sambar. Ripe Banana Bajji was a disaster as it appeared to be dead. It was cold and very thaw. The grape juice was decent but the sugar was too much for my liking.
The hygiene factor is good all over the restaurant. They have a neat handwash area with soap facility. They accept all kinds of digital payments including cards & UPI.
There is a dedicated parking facility for this restaurant. Yet, it might be difficult get a spot during peak hours and there are very few alternative options on this road.
Overall, I feel it doesn't live up to the hype. But you can give it a try for hygienic and quality food. Just keep your expectations low for the...
