The Vigneshwara Grand Pure Vegetarian — Restaurant in Kerala

I saw this restaurant dine in space in Google reviews and thought it would have a minimum quality and ordered mushroom pepper masala and stir veg fry through and online delivery app in the hope of trying a new dish. But I was completely wrong and food was disastrous. The food cost me around 350+ after 15% off.

First dish was stir veg fried and when the dish came I was shocked as I ordered stir veg fry from a main course menu and instead I got a starter. I had even mentioned that please make the dishs in gravy type in cooking instructions while ordering. I was really shocked not because I got a starter but for a dish worth ₹160 what I got was onion and chilli fried in maida batter and literally there was only onions and chilli and nothing more than that. ₹160 for 200g oninon and chilli pakoda and they call it as stir veg fry.

Second dish I ordered was mushroom pepper masala. This was the best from what I ordered 🥴. It can be made by anyone if you just have 3 ingredients - tamil style sambar + some mushrooms + lot of pepper. It tasted like tamil style sambhar with lot of pepper with mushrooms added. This dish costs around ₹180+ 😒. Literally I had to pay ₹180 for mushroom and pepper in Tamil style sambhar.

In the above reviews I saw owner of the restaurant replying to some reviews. Dear owner In case you are reading my review please please improve your dish quality. I am not trying to degrade your restaurant, this my real life experience. People go to restaurant to eat good food, atleast the food should have minimum quality and not to just sit under Air condition.

The restaurant is as slow as snail even though there were many unoccupied tables. They would take 15min to provide you a stale and uncooked Kerala paratha (restaurant names it as paratha and not parotta) they can’t even spell the name correctly. Stale chutney and chips like fried dosa would be served. All my family members are struggling with indigestion after having food from this restaurant. While the food was super slow to be served at the table, it reacted in the stomach so quick (in a bad way) (pun intended). I got fooled by the looks of the restaurant from outside. The only thing that was good enough at the restaurant was the banana leaf which they serve the food on. If you ask the manager about this, he would ask you not to shout and create a ruckus instead of solving the problem. He would challenge you saying everybody is human so the food may arrive late and it’s customers responsibility to stay calm and make peace with the delay.

I’m grateful that they were kind enough to treat a customer with arrogance and make them wait for 10minutes for the bill to be generated, but asked me not to pay the bill (while I was whole heartlessly willing to pay for such a bad food, because I’m not interested...

I went there yesterday ( 16/09/24) ,I was totally disappointed with their service , I had ordered 2 masala dosa and 1 ghee rost the service person tried to me to deliver two ghee rost instead of masala dosa and the food was not brought for me it was for some another peoples but9 due to their improper service it becomes excess so they tried to deliver me, when I refused the food was supplied to me after a very long time and no body came to attend my table asking anything more we want,I agree there was little rush compared to normal days of vigneswara but as I was not the first time visiting this restaurant I Yesterday ther was no professional way of service which was Done before.
