During the breakfast, shop was like semi opened, the serving chechi was chill. During the evening the guy didn't even bother giving the menu, spilled some random mediocre things like, "curry we have all, like chicken beef, all varieties ", like what dude. Had you told me about your signature special chicken curry or BDF or Kondattam, would've tried that. Please educate the staff on introducing varieties to non regular customers.

This is one of the better restaurants in the area. The food is bang for the buck — slightly costly, but fair for the quality and portions. It’s a comfortable spot for families, and the late-night availability is another strong plus. Cleanliness and ambience also stand out.

Service is mixed. The Malayali waiter was attentive and helpful, clearly better at engaging with guests compared to the North Indian staff, who struggled to explain signature dishes or highlight best-sellers for new visitors. The serving staff in general could be more attentive — though I’ll admit the rush of the place might be part of the reason. With their reputation and consistent food quality, they could even think of smarter service options (like a video-call ordering system) to match the standard their food sets.

If they close the gap in service, this place would easily rank among...

I visited this restaurant around lunchtime, and though it was quite crowded, the overall experience was impressive. I ordered the biryani, and I must say, it was incredibly flavorful and among the tastiest I’ve had in the area. The portion size was generous, and the rice was perfectly cooked with the right balance of spices.

The staff was welcoming and friendly, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the service was prompt, and I didn’t have to wait long for my meal, which was a big plus during a busy time of day. The payment process was smooth and hassle-free, which made the overall dining experience enjoyable.

The restaurant is conveniently located near Puthenpally, making it easily accessible. However, one downside is the limited parking space, which could be a bit of an issue during peak hours, especially if you’re driving. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal with fast service, though be prepared for the parking challenge...

Felt Religious Atmosphere Inside The Restaurant.. People Come To Restaurant Not For Worshipping Purpose,,,Openly Saying I Don't Like The Atmosphere Inside The Restaurant...👎A Lot To Improve Inside The Restaurant & From Staffs Side Towards Customer. Even Though There Is Neatness Inside The Restaurant,Staffs In Restaurant Behaved Much Differently...Even,They Behaved Just Like Doubting The Capacity Of Customer To Pay The Bill.,, Customer Service @Billing Side staffs Is Too Bad👎 Even Though Taste & Quality Of Fish Curry Bought Was Good,The Rate Is Too High For Other Dishes... Example:Rate Of Single Fish Fry Ayala,They Rated Rs158 By Saying It's Large Fish. When Opened Its A Fish Fry With Head Included. So After Removing The Head Of The Fish It's Small Part Remain To Eat.Rate Is Too High When Compared With Other...

Akshaya - people in Trissur would know this place. They have some 3 outlets in Trissur (not exactly sure though). The place is crowded, completely packed, always on waiting, and this is all because of what they serve there. The food is good, very reasonable. We had meals, duck roast, biriyani, koduva fish, every dish is worth appraising. The payasam Along with the meals is too good to be forgotten to be spoken off. The ambience is not that great to be talked about, it’s more like a mess, with so many tables and people at all spots. I guess no one cares about the ambience when we talk about the taste and quality served. Again another place that you should not miss in Thrissur. Go and enjoy the food. Don’t ask for more. Be prepared for the wait and the crowd. 😬😎

Akshaya has always been a go-to place for most Thrissurites due to: 1. Delicious food 2. Being open upto 1-2am at night 3. Reasonable costs 4. Easy accessibility 5. Quick and efficient service My favourites here are the flaky porotta, steaming fresh puttu, beef roast and fish curry. In fact, almost all their dishes are worth tasting 😀 Most recently, I had porotta, noolappam, mushroom masala, chicken kondattam and fresh lime soda. Each one was good, especially the creamy mushroom masala and the soft noolappams. The chicken kondattam was tasty too, with a beautiful crispy coating and soft well & cooked centre. It came accompanied by a spicy gravy. Service was also quick; we waited only around 5-10 minutes to be served.

I have been visiting Akshaya Restaurant for a long time, and it used to be one of my favourites in Thrissur. After a gap, I revisited, but unfortunately, the quality has gone down. We ordered chicken biryani and fish curry meals, but both were unsatisfactory and below average. The biryani was very dry, and the chicken was too hard. Earlier, they used to serve food on warm plates, but now that isn’t the case. Even the drinking water was served hot, but not now The table we dined at was also not clean, despite the restaurant not being crowded. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and Akshaya no longer feels like the restaurant I once loved.
