Read moreA nice restaurant to have a quick bite. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant, but has several options on its menu.
The restaurant is located directly opposite the West Nada of Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Parking must be done on the main road as the restaurant doesn't have its own dedicated parking area.
It is spread across 2 floors: the ground floor area is non A/C and would suit single people, bachelors / young people etc. The upper floor, which is air conditioned, is suited to the requirements of families. There is a separate area within the first floor which is past a door therefore providing extra privacy. This area seats around 20 people (6 tables of varying seating capacity).
The waiters seemed to be less in number. I could only see 2 of them and they were both very busy as all tables were occupied.
The taste of food was average. The masala dosa batter seemed a bit too sour. The coffee wasn't strong enough, but upon my request, the waiter brought filter coffee decoction separately. He was friendly and quick to serve us despite being very busy.
I am reasonably satisfied and wouldn't mind...
Read moreWorst ever service by the staff! I went for lunch and ordered meals, for which I had to purchase tokens. My friend and I were sitting together when an extremely unprofessional staff member suddenly came and harshly tapped me on the back, stretching his hand toward me without saying a word. After taking the token, he started placing banana leaves for serving. Shockingly, he deliberately placed a torn and uneven leaf for both of us. My friend’s leaf was even worse, so I politely requested a replacement. Instead of correcting it properly, he replaced it with another damaged one. When I asked again for a proper Thumbu Ela (banana leaf used for meals), his reaction was extremely rude and unprofessional — he literally shouted at us and said, “Go buy leaves from Chalai Market!”
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a hospitality setting. The management seriously needs to train their staff on basic manners and customer service. Definitely not visiting this...
