Hotel Annapoorna Vegetarian - Broadway — Restaurant in Kerala

Resturant in Marine Drive next to Sridar Theatre is in prime location likely attracts visitors, but unfortunately, the service provided by the waiting staff leaves much to be desired. Most customers seem to be one-time visitors, which may explain the lack of attention to service quality.

The restaurant is small, with decent interiors and a pleasant ambiance. However, when compared to other nearby vegetarian restaurants within a span of 300 meters to 1 km radius, such as Bharat Coffee house, Maruti Vilas, Abhirami, Saravanabhavan etc.. this one ranks near the bottom. The masala dosa ordered was excessively oily, and the plate provided did not have adequate space for chutney; instead, it was simply poured onto the side, causing everything to mix together. The chutneys offered—coconut, mint, and tomato—lacked flavor and distinction.

During weekends, the restaurant tends to be crowded, and the waitstaff seems to prioritize serving larger families and groups over individuals and couples. After a long wait, the person at the cashier (presumably the manager) eventually came to take the order. He communicated the order to the passing waiters, but they appeared disinterested, leading him to go to the kitchen himself to place the order. He was attentive when serving and asked if a refill was needed.

The place is clean and well-organized, but improvements are necessary in both food quality and the attitude of the waitstaff. Overall, it is a decent option for a meal when taste and service are not...

We had the worst experience in this god forsaken place which serves by far a mediocre food with no concern for hygiene. We are from tamilnadu and from the time we sat down to eat the owner kept asking us to eat fast and leave. Our kids were eating and told us to close the banana leaf and leave because there were new customers. In the 20 minutes we spent there he asked us to leave 3 times. Even the customers felt pity for us but the owner showed no remorse even after we confronted him. Tamilians you can easily avoid this place because we’ll be treated as badly as possible. I would have given 0 rating but google...

Thank you Annapurna for making such a disgusting food for the people of Kochi.Their cooking is done in very, very unsanitary conditions. The kitchen is so dirty and messy that it looks like a big factory.The staff are not clean, they are not polite, they have no ability to behave politely. It seems that the owner only cares about money. There is no responsibility. I saw the place where the juice is poured on the counter outside.It's so wrong that we should stop drinking juice.Do not let your loved ones who are eager for life go...
