Stumbled upon this gem while walking along the Jew street and found out that the synagogue wasn't open on that day. So we needed some refreshments to quench the thirst. Saw Macha art cafe and decided to step in. The moment we walked upstairs and saw all the art works up for display, they had me. Then I saw the sitting area that was looking upon the walking alley and I would only want to sit there. We sat there and observed the locals and tourists pass by. It's a very pleasant and soothing feeling to observe people as they pass by. I didn't mean the staring kind of way. But the normal and non creepy way. As we sat there, we ordered some coffee and a chicken pancake. Didn't expect anything out of the pancake. But the chicken was cooked to perfection and the coffee was good too. Both of us loved our time spent in here. The art displayed in the walls had its own stories to tell. Some of it represented works that showcased the vibe that was fort kochi, over the years. Evening would be the best time to visit.

A few months back, I visited Mocha Art Cafe located in Mattancherry. Being one of the best places in Cochin that serves ‘this’ delicious food, this is a must try place all you foodies out there ❤ .. What we ordered ⬇ . . • Appam with Beef Vindaloo ~Undoubtedly the best in town, I have yet tasted. The Goan style Beef Vindaloo And fluffy Appams is a very very must try from the cafe. (Rs.200) . • Chicken Schnitzel ~Trust me on this, it’s purely love at first bite. Served with assorted vegetables in white sauce. It may not be spicy, but it works awesome for people who doesn’t like non-spicy food too. (Rs.300) . • Beef Cheese Omlette ~Yet another must try. I think I was told this cheesy omelette with mince beef is the Chef’s Special and they really meant it. 👌🏻 (Rs.230) . • Mocha Special blended Cold Coffee ~ A classic Cold Coffee that won’t disappoint you for sure 🔥 (Rs.160) . •Mango Lassi ~ The good old creamy and fresh Mango lassi to beat the heat (Rs.130) Happy Fooding! 🤓

Nov 2022. Doesn't cover the basics. In a nutshell: Card machine ❌ Change for cash ❌ WiFi ❌ Convenient plug point ❌ Mosquitoes ✅ Good Americano ✅ Brown sugar / jaggery ❌ Take away cups ❌ Details: This is a sprawling space with multiple gallery rooms and seating options. Google lists this as a place with Wi-fi but there is NO WI-FI. I came here expecting a good coffee and a calm place to work on my laptop. However, there is only one place in the restaurant where you can access a wall socket, and it has a very low table so it's quite uncomfortable for work. That area was also infested with mosquitos. For such a huge place with a pricey menu, it's surprising they don't have a card machine. But even more surprising is when I tried to pay by cash, they didn't have change for 500! The only positive thing I can say is that the coffee was good. But again, white sugar only, and no take-away cups. All very surprising for a seemingly high end cafe.

On our quest to explore all the cafe's in fort Kochi, we reached Mocha cafe on a Friday evening, around 18h00. It was almost empty, with one server at the entrance and another who arrived at our table with menus 16 mins after we sat down. Like most art Cafés, there was a gallery with artwork around and the general vibe was sleepy and insipid. The obnoxiously overpriced Mocha special blended cold coffee was wholeheartedly successful in its attempt to mock cold coffees. And the Lychee mojito was shy of all things lychee. May be it was a bad day in the kitchen, may be just our bad luck. But it was rather disappointing to be so underwhelmed by what seemed like quite a well-liked cafe by travelers.

Very disappointed with the food and their response and service. The reviews were good so thought of giving this place a shot. I ordered a tuna sandwich and they gave me some thing else. I asked them is the stuffing is really tuna because it doesn’t look that at all. The manager or owner he said this is the fresh form of tuna. I was not satisfied with his answer but he didn’t bother just left. I was expecting he would replace the food or give a new one. But I just have to pay for my unfinished sandwich and leave. I have had tuna in multiple places before as sushi, salad and sandwiches, this was the most weirdest sandwich I ever had. The worst part is the way they reacted for it.

This cafe was supposed to be the number 1 cafe in Kochi city according to the netizens of Kochi. But I had a bitter experience in this Cafe. So, we went there on a rainy day and the restaurant was very empty-not even a single customer was available (around 1.00 PM). We tried to order fish varieties, beef varieties and all these items were not available and they stated that it was off-season. So, we went for Chicken dishes which were brought to us in over-burnt condition. Rice was good. Quantity of food was less. Taste of food was moderate. The interior ambiance was extremely good. Parking facility is limited. Overall experience was okay.
