This is a cozy spot tucked away from the busy world, for the GOOD. Very stylish and tastefully done interiors with red oxide flooring with plenty of painting adorning the walls, mostly of the streets of Fort Kochi itself, takes us into a whole new world. I wouldn't call this beauty a Cafe, it is an art gallery that serves us good food. This place is so attractive that a friend and I literally spent a whole afternoon enjoying the beauty. Lush vertical garden interiors, plant pots in every possible place ♥, paintings and my most favorite - SUNLIGHT and wind. I was in the worst mood in years but the moment I reached there, my mood escalated. I couldn't content my happiness. As we walked around the Cafe, we were welcomed my smiling staff - warm smiles ♥♥, let me tell you. The walking around itself was quite refreshing. We took our sweet time to spot "our" seat and settle down. We went for the couch in a corner with a crazy number of soft cushions. Waiter who came to attend us was gracious and patient enough to explain and tell us about their signature dishes. He suggested Cold coffee, Chicken melt sandwiches, blueberry mojito, and Kheema cheese omelet. We placed our orders for cold coffee, chicken melt sandwiches, chocolate cake and Naughty Kitty for dessert, because the name kind of got 😙 First came the coffee, sandwiches and the cake. CHOCOLATE Cake, served with a chocolate sauce, the sole reason why I went to Fort Kochi, was a definite order. We'd heard reviews and knew it wouldn't disappoint. But the question is, did it take my breath away like the one at my usual chocolate cake place? Yes. Took my breath away, twice. Sponge was soft and flavourful. Wasn't dense. The right amount of rising had given the cake the taste it deserved. And the chocolate sauce, was sweet and light with the right consistency. Wasn't overly sweet, for which I thanked God. I did a small happy dance after the cake. Because I'd got what I came for. 6 on 5 😅
COLD COFFEE, unlike the usual mocha cold coffees, this was more like a latte cold coffee with a nutty flavor which I loved. But even then as I think back, it wasn't perfect even then. I would've totally loved it if the coffee flavour had lingered in my mouth for a little longer. Cold? - yes. Brain freeze? - no. Frothy? YES 4 on 5
CHICKEN MELT SANDWICHES, served with a side of fruit and chips, had a good amount of chicken bits with slightly sautéed onions and cream cheese ( if I identified correctly 😅) and melted cheese between two very soft and fresh bread slices. Definitely a star in the menu without doubt. 5 on 5
Our waiter kept checking on us to see if there's anything we needed, even though it was his lunch break. Explained to us everything about the place. He also mentioned that the Owners family had had this place for over a century.
While we were enjoying the food and the ambience the owner himself stopped by and spoke to us. He wanted suggestions and feedbacks and in return we asked him to suggest something and without hesitating he said BROWNIE WITH ICE-CREAM . Since that's an anytime food, we decided to give it a shot and truth to be told, that brownie with ice cream sizzler was one of the best I've had. The owner Junaid Sulaiman, took us to their kitchen and borma to show us where these beauties get cooked and baked. An impeccably kept working kitchen is what welcomed us.
Once back in our seat, we decided to cancel naughty kitty as we couldn't take more chocolate. But what awaited us was the surprise. They were experimenting a new Israeli dish and wanted us to try it out. Shakshouka, served with brown bread , a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. Junaid uncle said they will be serving the dish with Appam. This dish will be soon introduced in their menu. I'm going back for this because it felt like home. Also, shakshouka, is a perfect dish for our pallette and...

Read moreDuring a recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying three distinctive dishes that struck a perfect balance between bold flavours and indulgent comfort.
Pheri Pheri Omelet
A creative twist on a classic, the Pheri Pheri Omelet delivered a satisfying hit of spice and smokiness. Infused with peri-peri seasoning, the eggs were cooked to a soft yet structured texture, enveloping the palate in a vibrant heat that was bold but not overpowering. Garnished lightly, it made for a flavour-forward start with an unmistakably spicy edge.
Kheema Cheese Omelet
This dish was a rich, protein-packed indulgence. The kheema (minced meat) was seasoned and cooked to a juicy, savoury finish, folded seamlessly within the fluffy omelet. The cheese added a creamy depth, creating a mouthwatering contrast to the spiced meat. It’s a comforting choice for those who love hearty, flavour-loaded breakfast options with a touch of decadence.
Chocolate Pancakes
To end on a sweet note, the Chocolate Pancakes delivered beautifully. Soft, fluffy layers soaked in chocolate syrup, with just the right amount of sweetness. The texture was light and airy, allowing the richness of chocolate to shine without being overly dense. A perfect dessert-style breakfast or mid-day treat.
