This is a cozy spot tucked away from the busy world, for the GOOD. Very stylish and tastefully done interiors with red oxide flooring with plenty of painting adorning the walls, mostly of the streets of Fort Kochi itself, takes us into a whole new world. I wouldn't call this beauty a Cafe, it is an art gallery that serves us good food. This place is so attractive that a friend and I literally spent a whole afternoon enjoying the beauty. Lush vertical garden interiors, plant pots in every possible place ♥, paintings and my most favorite - SUNLIGHT and wind. I was in the worst mood in years but the moment I reached there, my mood escalated. I couldn't content my happiness. As we walked around the Cafe, we were welcomed my smiling staff - warm smiles ♥♥, let me tell you. The walking around itself was quite refreshing. We took our sweet time to spot "our" seat and settle down. We went for the couch in a corner with a crazy number of soft cushions. Waiter who came to attend us was gracious and patient enough to explain and tell us about their signature dishes. He suggested Cold coffee, Chicken melt sandwiches, blueberry mojito, and Kheema cheese omelet. We placed our orders for cold coffee, chicken melt sandwiches, chocolate cake and Naughty Kitty for dessert, because the name kind of got 😙 First came the coffee, sandwiches and the cake. CHOCOLATE Cake, served with a chocolate sauce, the sole reason why I went to Fort Kochi, was a definite order. We'd heard reviews and knew it wouldn't disappoint. But the question is, did it take my breath away like the one at my usual chocolate cake place? Yes. Took my breath away, twice. Sponge was soft and flavourful. Wasn't dense. The right amount of rising had given the cake the taste it deserved. And the chocolate sauce, was sweet and light with the right consistency. Wasn't overly sweet, for which I thanked God. I did a small happy dance after the cake. Because I'd got what I came for. 6 on 5 😅

COLD COFFEE, unlike the usual mocha cold coffees, this was more like a latte cold coffee with a nutty flavor which I loved. But even then as I think back, it wasn't perfect even then. I would've totally loved it if the coffee flavour had lingered in my mouth for a little longer. Cold? - yes. Brain freeze? - no. Frothy? YES 4 on 5

CHICKEN MELT SANDWICHES, served with a side of fruit and chips, had a good amount of chicken bits with slightly sautéed onions and cream cheese ( if I identified correctly 😅) and melted cheese between two very soft and fresh bread slices. Definitely a star in the menu without doubt. 5 on 5

Our waiter kept checking on us to see if there's anything we needed, even though it was his lunch break. Explained to us everything about the place. He also mentioned that the Owners family had had this place for over a century.

While we were enjoying the food and the ambience the owner himself stopped by and spoke to us. He wanted suggestions and feedbacks and in return we asked him to suggest something and without hesitating he said BROWNIE WITH ICE-CREAM . Since that's an anytime food, we decided to give it a shot and truth to be told, that brownie with ice cream sizzler was one of the best I've had. The owner Junaid Sulaiman, took us to their kitchen and borma to show us where these beauties get cooked and baked. An impeccably kept working kitchen is what welcomed us.

Once back in our seat, we decided to cancel naughty kitty as we couldn't take more chocolate. But what awaited us was the surprise. They were experimenting a new Israeli dish and wanted us to try it out. Shakshouka, served with brown bread , a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. Junaid uncle said they will be serving the dish with Appam. This dish will be soon introduced in their menu. I'm going back for this because it felt like home. Also, shakshouka, is a perfect dish for our pallette and...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mocha Art Cafe, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This charming cafe truly stands out as a haven for coffee lovers and art enthusiasts alike. Here are the aspects that impressed me the most:

Ambiance: The moment I stepped into Mocha Art Cafe, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was tastefully done, with a perfect blend of modern and artistic elements. The cozy seating arrangements, soothing background music, and soft lighting created a comfortable and relaxing ambiance.

Artistic Vibe: As the name suggests, Mocha Art Cafe beautifully combines the love for coffee with an appreciation for art. The walls were adorned with captivating artworks, ranging from paintings to photography, adding a unique touch to the space. It's evident that the cafe supports local artists, as their creations were prominently displayed throughout, creating a visually stimulating experience.

Coffee and Beverages: The coffee at Mocha Art Cafe exceeded my expectations. The baristas are true artisans, meticulously crafting each cup of coffee with care and precision. Whether you're a fan of classic espresso-based beverages or prefer something more adventurous, their menu offers a wide selection to satisfy every taste. The quality of the coffee beans was exceptional, resulting in rich flavors and delightful aromas.

Food: The cafe also offers a delectable assortment of food options. From freshly baked pastries to light meals and sandwiches, there's something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed their signature desserts, which were not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor. It's evident that the ingredients used are of high quality, and the attention to detail in presentation makes every dish a treat for the eyes and the palate.

Service: The staff at Mocha Art Cafe were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They were more than happy to provide recommendations based on individual preferences and engage in pleasant conversations. Despite the cafe being busy during my visit, the service remained prompt and efficient, ensuring a seamless experience.

Community Engagement: Mocha Art Cafe stands out for its commitment to supporting the local community. They frequently host art exhibitions, live music performances, and open mic nights, providing a platform for emerging talents. It's wonderful to see a business actively contributing to the cultural scene and fostering creativity in the community.

Overall, Mocha Art Cafe is a gem that offers much more than just a cup of coffee. Its blend of art, ambiance, delicious beverages, and delightful food creates a memorable experience. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to work, a cozy place to catch up with friends, or simply a haven to enjoy good coffee and art, Mocha Art Cafe is undoubtedly...

During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying three distinctive dishes that struck a perfect balance between bold flavours and indulgent comfort.

Pheri Pheri Omelet

A creative twist on a classic, the Pheri Pheri Omelet delivered a satisfying hit of spice and smokiness. Infused with peri-peri seasoning, the eggs were cooked to a soft yet structured texture, enveloping the palate in a vibrant heat that was bold but not overpowering. Garnished lightly, it made for a flavour-forward start with an unmistakably spicy edge.

Kheema Cheese Omelet

This dish was a rich, protein-packed indulgence. The kheema (minced meat) was seasoned and cooked to a juicy, savoury finish, folded seamlessly within the fluffy omelet. The cheese added a creamy depth, creating a mouthwatering contrast to the spiced meat. It’s a comforting choice for those who love hearty, flavour-loaded breakfast options with a touch of decadence.

Chocolate Pancakes

To end on a sweet note, the Chocolate Pancakes delivered beautifully. Soft, fluffy layers soaked in chocolate syrup, with just the right amount of sweetness. The texture was light and airy, allowing the richness of chocolate to shine without being overly dense. A perfect dessert-style breakfast or mid-day treat.

⸻

Final Thoughts

This trio of dishes offered a well-rounded tasting experience — spicy, savory, and sweet, all done with care and attention to flavour. Each item was distinct yet complementary. A meal like this caters to varied cravings and would easily impress anyone who enjoys layered tastes and a well-balanced spread.

Highly recommended for breakfast enthusiasts or anyone exploring creative comfort food...

Stumbled upon this gem while walking along the Jew street and found out that the synagogue wasn't open on that day. So we needed some refreshments to quench the thirst. Saw Macha art cafe and decided to step in. The moment we walked upstairs and saw all the art works up for display, they had me. Then I saw the sitting area that was looking upon the walking alley and I would only want to sit there. We sat there and observed the locals and tourists pass by. It's a very pleasant and soothing feeling to observe people as they pass by. I didn't mean the staring kind of way. But the normal and non creepy way. As we sat there, we ordered some coffee and a chicken pancake. Didn't expect anything out of the pancake. But the chicken was cooked to perfection and the coffee was good too. Both of us loved our time spent in here. The art displayed in the walls had its own stories to tell. Some of it represented works that showcased the vibe that was fort kochi, over the years. Evening would be the best time to visit.

A few months back, I visited Mocha Art Cafe located in Mattancherry. Being one of the best places in Cochin that serves ‘this’ delicious food, this is a must try place all you foodies out there ❤ .. What we ordered ⬇ . . • Appam with Beef Vindaloo ~Undoubtedly the best in town, I have yet tasted. The Goan style Beef Vindaloo And fluffy Appams is a very very must try from the cafe. (Rs.200) . • Chicken Schnitzel ~Trust me on this, it’s purely love at first bite. Served with assorted vegetables in white sauce. It may not be spicy, but it works awesome for people who doesn’t like non-spicy food too. (Rs.300) . • Beef Cheese Omlette ~Yet another must try. I think I was told this cheesy omelette with mince beef is the Chef’s Special and they really meant it. 👌🏻 (Rs.230) . • Mocha Special blended Cold Coffee ~ A classic Cold Coffee that won’t disappoint you for sure 🔥 (Rs.160) . •Mango Lassi ~ The good old creamy and fresh Mango lassi to beat the heat (Rs.130) Happy Fooding! 🤓

Nov 2022. Doesn't cover the basics. In a nutshell: Card machine ❌ Change for cash ❌ WiFi ❌ Convenient plug point ❌ Mosquitoes ✅ Good Americano ✅ Brown sugar / jaggery ❌ Take away cups ❌ Details: This is a sprawling space with multiple gallery rooms and seating options. Google lists this as a place with Wi-fi but there is NO WI-FI. I came here expecting a good coffee and a calm place to work on my laptop. However, there is only one place in the restaurant where you can access a wall socket, and it has a very low table so it's quite uncomfortable for work. That area was also infested with mosquitos. For such a huge place with a pricey menu, it's surprising they don't have a card machine. But even more surprising is when I tried to pay by cash, they didn't have change for 500! The only positive thing I can say is that the coffee was good. But again, white sugar only, and no take-away cups. All very surprising for a seemingly high end cafe.
