Restaurant 51 — Restaurant in Kerala

We went to restaurant 51 for the ambiance with the a lower expectation on the quality of the food. Our realization upon arriving that the ambiance at night wasn’t up to par, and the food didn’t taste great at all. Our curry felt like it was reheated, our tapioca chips were stale, and our minestrone soup was flavourless. For the record, this is an alcohol free entity that serves really good thirst quenchers and has an amazing quality of service with its friendly staff. Poor servic. Good food. Good ambience with lake side seating. Good space for car parking. Poor service because of the following. We had to ask for napkins. those were not kept on the table. Even when asked it took ages for them to bring those to us. One spoon size fits all they think. Huge soup size spoon for desserts. It again took so much time to get a small size spoon when asked for it. Even though the waiter saw two of us sharing the brownie he did not have the common sense to bring 2 spoons. Went to Xandari Harbour for a dinner out with friends...no many food options available ...and those available are just mere kerala ordinary dishes in high expensive prices...Expensive pricing is not just the matter ....but the behavior from the staff especially waiters ....and no surprise ,there restaurant was empty during peak dinner hours....Dear foreigners,you come to our place to enjoy our kerala delicacies...but please don't get cheated with these kind of people...
