The Sagara restaurant is a place that is renowned for the sea food delicacies it provide to cater the taste buds of city folks who crave for the netholi fry ,para fry ,kanava thoran,konju roast and the kakka irachi fry. Also the availability of other varieties of interesting sea food cuisine across the frontiers of coast belt had added to the momentum of popularity that the restaurant gained from it's inception. The additional perks could be credited to the choices offered by the restaurant other than fish including meat,chicken and mutton. The vegetarians shouldn't be disheartened as the establishment does not alienate them as it extends it's comforting catering also to satiate the needs of vegetarians.The highlight of the place is the lunch that is dictated by the local cuisine as it satisfies not only our belly but also our heart as the recipes remind us of our good old golden days of traditional recipes. The localized theme in the lunch is totally worthy of the charge as it is incentivised by the accompaniments in the form of fish curry and tapioca. The place is popular due to the hospitality of the folks who always helps in placing the right order with their genuine advices.although the place is affordable certain extraneous factors could play the spoilsport or the villain by hiking up the prices of the sea food. The pricing is justifiable and rationale and this makes it a foodies abode. The sulaimani at the place is totally worthy and soul mediating. Being a trivian, Sagara Restaurant is not a new try for me. This time when i landed Trivandrum,i was really missing the seafood and came here.

As usual, they didn’t fail in welcoming us nicely and ordering is not at all a hard task as the staffs are so good in recommending us the best options.

We tried Kanava thoran, Karimeen Pollichathu and Prawns Puttu. The puttu was so soft and prawns masala was so yummy. The Kanava thoran which they served first was finished before the Puttu came and so it turned into a good starter. And the Karimeen masala again was awesome.

Comparing with other seafood restaurants, the prices are slightly on the higher side, but obviously worth it for the food they serve. They even arrange juices or shakes from nearby options in very less time.

Very bad experience. @ Sagara, vazhuthacaud. 🙊went there 2 days back. Firstly the shop window glasses were so dirty & unclean. Full of flies inside disturbing hitting on face and food. Cant they afford to fix an electric insects repeller? . They didnt even bring the menu card( probably because customer wont order, seeing sky high rates 🙉) Untidy tables, floors and dirty yellowish stained walls. Such stingy smell & odour in the restaurant. Fish = choora fry so old and decayed smell. dumped it there itself( but paid for it🙏) chicken fried rice, curry etc were so disappointed 🙏 rates so high. Not even printed bill. Underrated place. Please dont go here and waste your money. 🙊🙉🙉 where is food safety & hygiene department? Such shame on this shop.
