A Delightful Family Dining Experience at Azad Restaurant, Vazhuthacaud
I recently visited Azad Restaurant in Vazhuthacaud with my family for dinner, and I’m happy to say it exceeded all our expectations. This gem of a restaurant truly delivers on both quality and ambiance, making it a perfect choice for family dining.
Cleanliness & Ambiance
The first thing that struck me was the impeccable cleanliness of the establishment. From the moment we walked in, everything was spotless - the tables, floors, and even the restrooms maintained the highest standards of hygiene. This attention to cleanliness immediately put us at ease and set the tone for a pleasant dining experience.
Food Quality & Taste
The culinary experience at Azad Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. We ordered several dishes, and each one was a testament to their skilled kitchen:
Chicken Tikka- Perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, the chicken tikka was tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic flavors. The spice level was just right, and the smoky aroma was absolutely delightful.
Chicken Mandi- This traditional Arabian dish was executed beautifully. The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, while the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. The blend of spices created a harmonious flavor profile that left us wanting more.
Butter Chicken- Creamy, rich, and absolutely delicious, their butter chicken was a standout dish. The sauce had the perfect balance of tomato and cream, and the chicken pieces were succulent and well-cooked.
Overall Experience
Everything about our visit was impressive - from the prompt and courteous service to the reasonable pricing. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and our orders arrived in a timely manner despite the restaurant being busy.

Read moreOnce they were a legend. But now a days, one of the worst. Used to love their biriyani since school days and we were a weekly visitor at the overbridge branch. But when time flies, their biriyani lost its charm and the attitude of the servers sky rocketed.
Faced the "don't care" attitude from the servers couple of times when visited before pandemic time. But last Sunday, when my brother was feeling nostalgic, decided to go the Vazhuthacaud branch. And to my surprise, the attitude of the server was typical Azad style - "don't care". Since the biriyani is available only till noon time and we reached there late, we were forced to order items like : Chicken Noodles, Chappathi, Parotta, Egg Masala, Chilli Gobi, Kerala Chicken, Lime Juice and Tea
What I had was Chicken Noodles, and it was okayish except some hard joint portions in the chicken, some black unknown substances, etc. But the rest of the items were flop. While I was having the noodles, I tried their ketchup. When I had the third or fourth spoon of ketchup, noticed something dark in it. And when examined, I was shocked to see that its a dead fly!! Informed the server and he just took that away without saying a single word! He didn't even bothered to apologize for this unfortunate event. He even walked past our table couple of times to take other order and for printing the bills. Had asked him whether he has something to say, and he lowered his voice saying he informed the kitchen and the manager was not there or something. We went to the person sitting near the billing section, and when told about the incident, he apologized to us and said the server has only informed it now.
Since he apologized, we left the restaurant paying the bills, with a broken heart. How come the management is not interested in improving the service and quality of food? A legacy name doesn't mean anything if you don't provide good food and hospitality.
Very much disappointed. The attitude of the servers are the worst(not just one time, it occurred many times). I decided not to visit the restaurant anymore! Please try...
