I recently dined at Kanchipuram Cafe Restaurant and opted for their 59 rupees combo meal. The combo included a delightful array of South Indian dishes: 1 masala dosa, 1 idli, a choice between upma or Pongal, 1 uzhunnu Vada, 1 chai, along with coconut chutney, sambar, and tomato chutney. The culinary experience was exceptional; each food item boasted authentic flavors and upheld a commendable standard of quality. The masala dosa was perfectly crisp, the idli was fluffy, and the uzhunnu Vada had the right amount of crunch. The choice between upma and Pongal offered a variety that catered to different preferences. The ambience of the restaurant was inviting, albeit with limited seating, creating a cozy atmosphere for diners. It appears that the combo meal I enjoyed might be an introductory offer, which adds to the allure of trying out their menu.Located conveniently near Union Bank at Vazhuthacaud, accessibility to the restaurant is a plus point for patrons. The chai served was a highlight of the meal, boasting great taste and quality. Moreover, the staff exhibited commendable responsibility and provided excellent service throughout my dining experience. Their attentiveness added to the overall positive impression of the restaurant. In conclusion, Kancheepuram Cafe Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey with its flavorful dishes, inviting ambience, and attentive service. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, this restaurant is...
Read moreWe visited here on 15th Jan for dinner around 8.45 or 9.00 PM. The place is very small and will be difficult to find the tables. You have no choice but to stand and eat, but it's fine as long as you don't have kids or elders with you. Since we visited the Cafe a little late (though they say they are open until 10 PM!), we didn't get much choice other than Ghee Roast, Podi Dosai and Onion Uthappam. The food tasted average or below average and didn't show any justice to the name 'Kanchipuram' or even Tamil food. The Sambar served was delicious than anything else. I was happy to see good combo options for breakfast at nominal price (though limited time offer until 19th Jan), but after tasting the food today, I don't have any hope and thinking not to.take the pain to go and have the breakfast in the morning rush. The funniest part is, they don't even serve filter coffee after being named 'Kanchipuram'. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone, but it is just my opinion and those who...
Read moreI visited this place specifically to try their combo meal, and it exceeded my expectations. It was not only delicious but also quite fulfilling. For just 50 rupees, we could enjoy a variety of dishes including idli, vada, masala dosa, pongal, upma or pongal, kesari, and tea. The best part was that despite the low price, each bite felt satisfying and of high quality. I noticed a banner mentioning that the offer would last for only 50 more days, so I recommend trying it soon.
Additionally, they offer unique items like butter podi idli, ghee sambar idli, and adorable mini idlis. Along with these, there are various other snacks available, all reasonably priced. The cafe provides ample parking space, and the service is exceptionally fast. I highly recommend this place, especially to those interested in sampling a wide variety of South Indian non-vegetarian dishes and who are bored with the usual idli or dosa. It's truly a...
