TAMR Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

I was walking along when I saw a familiar face of more than 15 years back in Tamr. Sudhir of Tamr, used to have a thattukada serving Chinese chicken and appams a few paces down. And it used to open in front of the shops after they shut for the night. It's another story that the thattukada is now named Street Menu and is a bustling restaurant in place of the same shops for which the thattukada had to wait to close. To cut a long story short, Tamr is the second one after street menu. They serve Chinese Arabic small bites of the north kerala like chicken samosa kaypola chatting pathiri and biriyani in the afternoon. I tried food the way Muslims do. Eat good and no drinking other than a wonderful rose coloured lime juice. Young crowd all over eating Al faham , plate shawarma, drinking chilled juice , sipping hot tea all in the tiny corner shop with some tables also on the pavement. Like the eateries in Mumbai. I observed that the fastest moving item was the Al faham and the youngsters were eating it like tapas before going home for their dinners. Will definitely recommend this place for the young crowd and the always young Sudhir who has not aged a single day...

Bought chicken kothu porotta few hours before via zomato. Was not able to finish the whole thing. Too much of red chilli powder in the food and that too raw taste, tasted like it's been put just before packing. And now i m having stomach pain and acidity. Posting here directly just to let the restaurant know that good food is the right of the customer, whether its bought through online or direct store purchase. i m still having the balance food here in refrigerator. If u want to check i can give that. Hope my condition does not get worse... Thanks tamr cafe for causing this much difficulty. Putting a star jus...

I had very bad experience with is cafe. This is not the first time I am visiting here. Very poor hygiene and very poor service, i was sitting in front with my friend the service staff staff told me to go inside there are 8 seat available inside. so after giving oder we went inside. We ware waiting for the food the food has come another idiot staff told me to go out he got a order of 10 PPL. I was surprised this the second time. He took our food and went out i was not happy so I left the cafe with out even touching the food. Very poor we are also paying the amount without negotiating show some respect to...
