Sehiyon Oottusala — Restaurant in Kerala

I recently lvisited Sehiyoon Oottusala in Ernakulam, and honestly, the experience was disappointing. While the food remains tasty — especially the seafood — the pricing has become unreasonably high. I was charged ₹250 for a small portion of prawn fry, which usually costs around ₹150 elsewhere.

Another issue was the payment. If you pay via GPay, they add extra charges, which feels unfair and unprofessional.

Earlier, this place was known for good service and reasonable prices. Now, not only has it become overpriced, but the owner’s attitude has also turned very rude, making the overall dining experience uncomfortable.

With so many new seafood options available around Ernakulam, I personally wouldn’t recommend Sehiyoon anymore unless they seriously improve their pricing and...

Sehiyon Ootusala is located at Pulleppady. The shop is famous for luncheon meals. Variety of sea food items are also available here.

The rate for sea food items are very much high and not meant for daily visitors. They also charge Rs. 80 for meals, that is also high comparing with other hotels. They provide rice water with every food item. They are ready to warm the sea food items if we required to do so and if we ready to wait for few minutes.

I had tried pidi with chicken curry and meals from there. Pidi and Chicken was just average. I only felt it as one time eatable. Its taste may not like to everyone. Lunch meals was also of average taste. However comes to rating, most of the people stated that it is a dependable lunch restaurant...

There is nothing great about this restuarant.we went here after watching couple of YouTube videos..sorry to say that it's all fake reviews. We had meals , fish fry and fish egg.Fish fry was not at all fresh and overpriced . One ayila (mackerel) fry they charged rs.130 wherein restaurant of similar ambience and style charges starting from rs.50 . If the fish was fresh, then we atleast will have the relief that we paid for something worthy. Fish egg was too spicy and no taste at all.
