Tikka & Kabab Ameen | Best Restaurants in Kochi — Restaurant in Kerala

From the day, I heard about its launch in Kerala, I have this wild desire to visit this place just because of one reason. One of the partners is an original Arab, a Bahraini. So, one thing was sure.. the Authenticity & the Quality of the food would be definitely, of high standards. So obviously the rates may be a little high. Finally, recently got a chance to visit this place & I couldn't be much happier on that day when my thoughts & guesses met with the real expectations!! it was mind-blowing!! The ambiance, even though it looked normal from outside, it was pretty big inside, with 2 floors, the ground floor having normal seats & the first floor has a common seating as well as a private dining space, with both normal seating & 3 separate Majlis space. To be precise, they serve Authentic BAHRAINI Food, as well as other Arabic food. A big Thanks to the Restaurant Manager, Mr. Binu, in making us feel at home & advising us what to have..it was an ultimate Treat!! We ordered the following:

9.MADFOON MUTTON (Q) 6/5 This is one of their masterpiece dishes & a compulsory must-try, if you are a mutton lover.

11.BUKHARI WITH CHICKEN (Q) 6/5 This is their other masterpiece dish. The Chicken is out-of-this world!!

Most of the food items were accompanied with their complimentary dips or Extras namely DAQOOS, MABOUCH,GARLIC MAYO & SALAD.

12.DATE MADNESS 4/5 As the name suggests, this dessert is a rich one with Dates, Milk etc. I personally don't like dates in my dessert, I would rather have it plain & simple. Those who love dates in desserts, you may love it, for sure.

13.KUNAFA 6/5 The final show-stopper was really different in its look & tasted so authentic & yummy!! never seen a Kunafa in this shape, all these years....

We had the best Arabic Food experience here. Really felt like we were dining somewhere in Bahrain. The food was Fantabulous & the presentation was Top-Notch!! Would definitely recommend to all...It is a sure-shot must-visit place.. Go & have a blast!!

So we initially visited this eatery when opened. It was not so great experience and thus didn't visit the place again. This time After a year (I guess) visited again as family wanted to have tikkas nd kebabs. Our fav spot was Barizat Al Dua which unfortunately closed due to poor location.🥺 So the next in line was Tikka & Kebab Ameen. With changes expected, we visited the place. Parking was not an issue as it was not a weekend.

Ambience: Not much changed compared to our first visit & above all had to sit exactly at the same spot🤣. The AC was facing us but still it was hot so we opted a different place which again wasn't much impressive🤐

Food: We ordered Beef Kebab, Mix Grill, Irani Juicy Kebab, Saffron Chicken Kebab, Hummus and Kunafa in dessert.

Review: The difference in kebabs were that it had put on a bit of weight as the initial kebabs were just fat as an old Hero ink🖋 🤣🤣 Saffron Kebab should be named as 'Leaf Kebab' as it tasted more like eating leaves with such strong taste. In Platter the tikkas were a bit bigger than the 'maltesers' 🤣🤣 and the beef Tikka seemed burned with again high in leaf taste. Kebabs did not have much of flavour and the only thing that we liked was Iranian Juicy Kebab which we ordered twice. The hummus was also gud. Finally Kunafa! It was okie! Okie!

Verdit: So overall the experience was almost same as the initial visit. Nothing changed much. If you ask me "wud u go again" I wud say "Nah" again "what about suggesting" I wud say "Nope"

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kebab and Ameen Restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience! The restaurant's specialty in Arabian cuisine shone through in every dish we ordered.

The Iraniyan Kebabs were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The aroma alone was enough to tantalize our taste buds!

The Hummus was creamy and rich, with a perfect balance of tahini and garlic. It was the perfect accompaniment to our meal.

But what truly stole the show was the exceptional quality of the kebabs. Cooked to perfection, they simply melted in our mouths.

Overall, I highly recommend Kebab and Ameen Restaurant for anyone craving authentic Arabian cuisine. The flavors, the service, and the ambiance all come together to create a truly memorable dining experience.
