Apart from that in the main course the butter garlic rice and cantonese noodles were hearth warming and the American chopseuy was subtle and elegant. In accompaniment the prawn in kung pau sauce accentuated the taste of the main course and over all the quantity and quality was pocket friendly. Wish to visit soon to try their other items on offer. I recently visited this Chinese restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with their preparations. The highlight for me was definitely the dumplings—moist, juicy, and full of flavor. The pork dumplings, in particular, were a delight, literally melting in the mouth, and the sauce served alongside deserves a special mention for elevating the taste even further.
In the main course, the butter garlic rice and Cantonese noodles were heartwarming and comforting, while the American chopsuey stood out for its subtle and elegant flavors. Among the accompaniments, the prawns in Kung Pao sauce perfectly complemented the dishes, adding just the right balance to the overall experience.
What made the experience even better was that the portion sizes and quality were excellent while still being pocket-friendly. Overall, it was a memorable meal, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try out more...
Read moreUpdate 2- i have reduced the rating from 2 to 1. The food quality has highly deteriorated. They have made a durga puja menu with only 3-4 veg items. The taste was bad. Paneer was overly soft.. I doubt they are using authentic paneer. It seems adulterated. Staff behavior was bad. Rude way of talking. Not coming here again. Also the quality this time was horrible. Chilli paneer had 3 small pieces of capsicum. 4-5 pieces of onion and 2 slices of green chilli. It was a joke actually 😅 Note: The best restaurants dont compromise on quality no matter what. Also this durga puja menu thing is something done by average restaurant. Reputed ones dont do such things... They continue with BAU. Not running after excessive profits.
Update - i have reduced the rating as the chicken balls being used for chilli chicken, garlic chicken etc are alwwys smelly.... They have an aftertaste which is not good. This is the third time in a row that i experienced this... Seems like they are using the same oil to fry all things like prawn, chicken and fish... Plz fry chicken first and then fry other sea food else the sea food smell seeps into the chicken... Next time i wont...
Read more47 South Tangra Road is a Cozy, authentic Chinese restaurant, walking distance from Lake Mall at Rashbehari We've visited around 9 PM. We had : Egg Hakka Noodles, Fish in oyster sauce (Bhetki)
Pros: tasty food. Both the items were delicious. I would have liked the noodles a little bit more soft, but the presented quality is nothing to complain though. Portion was sufficient for 2 people. Fish in oyster sauce was really delicious, the outside was crunchy, the inside fish was soft. The sauce proportion was perfectly balanced sweet and spicy.
Service was really good. They are very well mannered. Waiting time is not that much. Price (in my opinion) is reasonable. Great variety of food, lot of options to choose from OPEN till 2 AM, Great for late night cravings
Cons: Not very much of capacity. You might have to wait a little at peak hours. They need to work on hygiene, we've faced a few flies inside the restaurant, not acceptable.
Ambiance is nothing very fancy, a simple Chinese ambiance. But overall We loved the food and services. Would love to visit again and try some...
