I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Kitchen in Kolkata, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant's inviting ambiance and attentive service set the tone for a fantastic meal.

The staff was friendly and well-informed, ensuring that we were taken care of without feeling rushed. The quick service was a plus, especially for those with limited time, but the pace didn’t compromise the quality of the food.

My family and I had the most infuriating experience at this restaurant. My family member forgot her phone on a table but instantly remembered it before we even left the restaurant. When we couldn’t find it on our table and asked about it, they all denied having any information. Only after we insisted on checking the CCTV footage did they admit that they found a phone. To make matters worse, they even switched off the phone, hoping we wouldn't notice their dishonesty. This restaurant's staff is incredibly dishonest.

The director of the restaurant has the audacity to claim that our accusation is false. But how can they explain how the phone ended up switched off if it wasn't taken by their staff? And how is it that the staff suddenly "remembered" having the phone when we asked to check the CCTV?

Clean comfortable air conditioned atmosphere Casa Kitchen was not overly crowded for a late lunch. The extensive menu makes choices difficult but the helpful staff can give suggestions. They have a special Casa Dal cooked overnight which smelled wonderful. I tried a dish with a rich savory sauce as a base under round disks of layered spinach and cheese. The side of filled naan was fantastic, you really could just sit and eat the bread. What surprised me about the dish was the light sweetness of the sauce. I was expecting a stronger spicier chili or garlic sharpness. Instead it was a very smooth collection of flavors with a light sweetness like a barbeque sauce touched with honey. There were 5 or 6 other items I wanted to try and the food and service was excellent - I could easily be a regular...
