The actual name of the restaurant is New Embassy, located near Exide more. A suggestion - if you are looking for nice cozy comfortable place with a beautiful ambience and amenities, this place is NOT, I would recommend. BUT If you are looking for something close to traditional tibetian food made by the natives of that particular cuisine, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. It Seems like a family owned business. The food was absolutely amazing and pocket friendly. The flavours are well balanced and crafted for an indian palate, i would say. With reasonably limited options for the past 40 years, it makes this small joint less confusing for it's guest. The restaurant has maintained its diginity well by serving simple classic dishes rather than focusing on weird Tik Tok Desi chinese dishes. P.S. The above review comes from a Professional Chef with almost 20 years of experience in the...
Read moreWe ordered mixed chowmin with Chicken Manchurian. Mixed Chowmin - 240 Chicken Manchurian- 270
Mixed chow was really good with lots of Chicken and shrimps and the quantity was pretty good. However, Chicken Manchurian was not that good. Strong flavors were missing. I won't say it was bad as the taste was okayish good. But not as I expected. Also they said there was 10pcs while the pieces were really small. A bit bigger 6pcs would've sounded better.
But the calm ambience was really good. Early bollywood 2000 music playing in background was really something, you would love to experience again & again.
Overall budget friendly & good food so you can give it a try....
Read moreThis Chinese restaurant was New Embassy, located almost opposite to Rotary Sadan, Birla Planetorium. We have been Visiting this joint for last forty years or more. Taste of food remains the same - authentic Chinese. A pocket friendly restaurant, we paid about Rs. 2500 for a very satisfying 🍝🥗🍱 lunch for five persons. The service has improved since our last visit and food is delivered pretty fast. In spite of being located away from crowded areas, the restaurant was full. The entrance and the decor remain same since it's inception days and has the old world charm. Please note that no hard drinks are served in this restaurant. We viewed it as the only possible...
