Haldiram located Near Exide and Rabindrasadan is one of the Oldest veg food joint..I used to come here before..since 2005..loved their food but from 2018 I stopped going there..cause of their Rude behaviour and without reason delay... Still on 6th April 2023 I went there again. I ordered a Special indian thali for Take away..price was 190 rs. I gave them 200 rs ..the person said need 14 rs for packing charge..i gave 15 rs..he did not refund me rs. 1..when i asked he said packing charge 15 rs where in the bill its written clearly 14 rs.. So the 190 rs Thali charge was 215 rs.. I went to the counter...There was no rush still the Service guy kept me and other waiting for long.. Even other people when asked how long have to wait They dont even bother to Reply..since 2018 staffs over there this rude... A person beside me took 3 Special thali and asked where is the Papad...the guy said nehi milega.. Even when i asked where is mine..he said Khatam ho gaya.. Even he did not give paper napkin and spoon which i asked to give.. Again went to the payment counter and asked the guy they are not giving papad so why charging me...I want the refund.. First he said ye special thali me Papad nehi hai only with shahi thali.. I said in Special thali papad is there and in Shahi thali extra is one dahi bada..i frequently Buy this from Ballugung outlet... Later the guy checked the menu though i clicked the Menu from there also...He did not trust me rather see his paper leaflet and agreed there is papad.. He asked the delivery guy to provide..he was very unwingly person..then another person put a small piece of papad in micro and handed me.. So in future seriously I will avoid the outlet.. The nostalgia i had before...not left anymore... Who wants ugly arguement while eating? Not me.. They must check their behaviour and at the same Charge people rightly. Even the packaging was so bad...all the gravy mixed up... The kali daal was sweet cause the sweetness of gulab jamun mixes up.. Only i give 3 stars cause taste of the...

Read moreWe recently visited one of the outlets of Haldiram near Exide Junction to have an exhilarating experience. This large two-storied eatery is quite ideal for small cravings, also if you like to feed your face, but too much ghee can be bad for your liver! As we moved inside, the appealing aroma of pure ghee whetted our appetite in a big way. The place is known for its vegan dishes. We ordered veg noodles, samosa and a cup of coffee. The noodles were toothsome and rich in vegetables as you expect at Haldiram. I found it hot and a touch over spicy. The flavour is quite different from greasy spoon roadside stalls. To be honest, Haldiram is not a Chinese restaurant and you can not expect authentic Chinese dishes here. It was my obsession with Chinese cuisine that prompted me to buy Hakka Chowmin from it. But it was pleasantly different, almost like having noodles at home. Only the cooking medium was pure ghee. The large size of the samosa was truly attractive. It was a little hot too. The coffee was strong and refreshing indeed. The restaurant had taken basic safety measures against the spread of Coronavirus. The staff are courteous and the place is spick-and-span. It is absolute bliss to all who love a vegan diet.
