If the staff working here asks for your smartphone in pretext of some 'offer', DO NOT hand them over your phone.
Wow Momo is the momo brand I swear by, I was too delighted to find the brand open an outlet in this area. My excitement and happiness was shortlived though. Here goes the detailed story:
I visited this outlet during Durga Puja for the first time. The restaurant was empty except for us. The seating arrangement, decor and cleanliness were upto the mark, you get value for money. I ordered Chicken Pan Fried Momo in Schezwan sauce.
As I was waiting for the food, a server came over to our table and asked if we had an internet enabled phone with active data connection. He said that if we give him the phone he will login 'some website' for a 'review' after which we will get DISCOUNT COUPONS, UPDATES etc from Wow Momo. He was reluctant in giving the details and artistically ignored our queries for more information. When I asked him which website he said reassuringly that he will open it up for me. After getting the phone he simply moved aside so that we cannot see what he is doing with my phone. When I sneak peeked, I saw him surfing through my apps. Next I saw him googling something and that was when I asked for my phone back. I went to my browser history and found out that he was searching 'Zomato Wow Momo'.
So basically it means he was searching my phone to see if I have the Zomato App, then he would have put in the review himself WITHOUT my knowledge. When he failed to find the app(since I don't use it) he had some plan of making me login Zomato through the browser by providing me a FAKE incentive of getting DISCOUNT COUPONS.
I am a blogger, I live in the internet, he could have never fooled me but he would have easily got away with people like my parents. I am heartbroken to learn Wow Momo has resorted to such bad, unethical practices to gain positive reviews.
Food: The food was served at perfect temperature, as usual I loved it. Infact the dumplings here were far bigger in size compared to the other outlets of Wow Momo! Food was...
Read moreI'm shri shikshayatan student. Just after classes I went to have momos there with my friend. The environment was unhygienic. There were flies hovering literally at every table. Ac wasn't working. I mean, you only want to have good food under good comfort right? And take lots of good pictures . It was extremely hot. At first I told the staff, he said mam just wait for few mins. Then we literally finished the whole food. We sat for half n hour. The room wasn't cold at all. The momos red spicy chutney was soo bad. Idk what was the reason. Maybe they gave us stale chutney, but it was tasting karwa(bitter). We just had the momos, leaving chutney aside. We also ordered virgin mojito. And i must say it was the worst mojita I've ever had in my entire life. There was soo much sugar. It was hell sweet. At the end, while making payment we complained the boy who served us the momos. He didn't react , just ignored us. I didn't even feel like making the payment. It was just a really bad experience at wow momos at that particular place. I've had wow momos almost everywhere. The Esplanade wow momos are nice, the parks streets wow momos are nice. But this particular place is the worst. I don't recommend anyone to go there! Especially to my college girlies. Y'all rather go to Kathleen's than going to...
Read morewow momo has Worst service ever I experienced. During Durga Puja session they used to sell via Wow Kulfi near every possible pandals where their black dressed (they use to call them manager of that stall ) staffs served many times the Himalayan momo(Rs.100) in the name of Darjeeling momo(Rs.120) and many frauds too. They treat very bad with the temporary staffs appointed for Puja work only ,wow momo hire the non staffs by saying that there will be just order receiving and giving work will be but they make them to work washing steamer, pan, spool, sauce bowl etc... And if the non staffs want to leave after knowing the real work they have to do than they say you will not get a penny even you have worked 1 day. During Durga Puja they don't maintain hygiene they just want to make there targetted profit to achieve... for which they sell the out dated momo ( there is a life Span of 1 day or 3 days of each momo crate came from there factory but they sold it for 6th -7th day, not only momo but sauce also)
I quite eating any product of wow momo after knowing its dark side...
