⭐ Extremely Disappointing Experience – From Best to the Absolute Worst!
Visited on 17th October, and honestly, this was a complete disaster compared to my earlier experiences here. Once known for being one of the best buffet experiences — now it’s nothing short of a mockery of its own name.
Despite booking well in advance for 8 people, we were made to sit right next to the kitchen exhaust — it was boiling hot, no fan, no proper air-conditioning. It felt like dining inside a tandoor rather than enjoying one!
Coming to the food – the biggest letdown. The so-called “unlimited” buffet had half the items missing from what they proudly advertise.
Veg grill: Only 4 basic options – paneer, mushroom, corn, pineapple. Where were the others? No capsicum, no potatoes, no tomatoes, no onions – nothing that was part of the old menu.
Non-veg grill: One variety each of chicken, mutton, fish, prawns. No kebabs, no additional options. This is not what you call “variety”!
All the special dishes that used to make this place worth visiting — no Thai grill, no tandoori tofu, no ajwaini chaap, no chilli potato, no veg lollypop. Completely missing!
Table starters? Served once and then disappeared. Had to literally keep reminding the staff to repeat even the basic barbecue items.
Live counters? Only chaat and pani puri. No pasta counter as claimed.
Buffet chaos: No plates, no bowls, roti came 20 minutes after the sabji turned cold. Total mismanagement.
Salads and dips? Half missing — no curd rice, no raita, no papad, no lemon wedges, barely any dressing or dips.
Desserts? Another joke. Just moong dal halwa, kheer and gulab jamun. No cheesecake, no phirni, no barfi, no gateaux — basically none of what they advertise in their menu or posters.
And yet, they charge the same full rate as before!
To make it worse, the staff was only attending to a corporate group, leaving everyone else ignored. Even saw corporate guests serving food with bare hands while no staff was around to supervise. Extremely unhygienic and unacceptable for a place that claims to be premium.
The taste of whatever little food was available was substandard — bland pasta, awful soup, overcooked chicken, tasteless grills.
Overall, this visit was a total waste of time and money. If you value your experience and hygiene, avoid visiting until they learn to maintain standards.
This was once one of my favorite places, but now it feels like they’re just exploiting their brand name while cutting corners everywhere.
If you can’t maintain your menu, don’t take bookings. Stop misleading customers with false promises and fake...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at BBQ Nation – Sayagyi Hotel, Wackers
We recently visited BBQ Nation at Sayagyi Hotel, Wackers, using a couple’s pass. As vegetarians, we were excited to try the veg options, but the entire experience turned out to be quite disappointing.
Firstly, the pricing was misleading. Nowhere during booking or at the restaurant were we clearly informed of the price per person. Based on Google reviews, we expected something between ₹800–₹1200. However, they charged ₹1200 per person regardless of dietary preference, which felt unfair considering the limited and subpar vegetarian options.
Food Quality & Variety (Vegetarian): • The starters included Paneer Kebab, Soya Bean Kebab, Aloo Fry, Pani Puri, and Mushrooms. Unfortunately, none of them were properly grilled or cooked. Only the Pani Puri stood out as decent. • The staff rushed us through the starters, constantly asking if we needed anything, but didn’t really give us time to enjoy what was served. • Salad options were basic – white sauce pasta and a few other items – and not appealing in taste. • The main course had Cauliflower and Masala Paneer, but both were tasteless. The naan served was dry and not enjoyable.
Desserts: This was the only slightly positive part. There were tiny pastries (smaller than what you’d find in any regular sweet shop), including chocolate and mango flavors, chocolate shots, mango custard, kheer, gulab jamun, and four types of kulfis. They also had basic scoops of vanilla and mango ice cream. However, the portion sizes were very small.
Ambience & Service: • We expected a vibrant rooftop dining experience with a nice view and good climate. Instead, the vibe was dull and uninviting, with just a basic cooler and a smoky, unpleasant atmosphere. Some guests were drinking and smoking, which was uncomfortable. • They asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and later handed us a small square cake with no name or decoration — for which we were charged ₹800 extra without prior notice.
Health Impact: Worst of all, after the meal, I experienced severe stomach issues including vomiting, loose motions, and symptoms consistent with IBS. I even have medical reports supporting this. It’s very concerning to face such health problems after dining out.
Final Thoughts: We ended up spending ₹3000 for an experience that lacked quality, transparency, and hygiene. I strongly do not recommend this BBQ Nation outlet. Vegetarians especially should avoid this place — it’s not worth the price, the taste, or the risk to your...
