A Disastrous Experience - Steer Clear of This Resort

Our stay at Kinara Village Resort on the 2nd week of April was an absolute disaster. The experience was plagued with inefficiency, rude staff, and a complete lack of basic amenities that one would expect from a so-called “reputed” establishment.

Upon arrival, we were met with shockingly rude behaviour from a front office staff member named Ram. Despite our long journey of over 1,000 kilometres, he refused to let us or our elderly parents settle in before demanding full payment upfront. Our polite request for just five minutes to allow the elders to rest before completing the payment was met with outright refusal and dismissive behaviour. It was an appalling start to our stay.

The failures continued throughout our time at the resort. When we requested extra beds, we were informed that they had none available—an astonishing oversight for a resort of this size and supposed reputation. After much insistence, the manager managed to provide something, but it was just a basic mattress that could be purchased for a mere ₹300. Calling this a solution would be generous.

Hot water availability was another significant issue. On the first day, we managed to get hot water, but by the second day, there was none. The staff attempted to remedy this by offering buckets of hot water, but this was far from adequate or acceptable for a resort claiming to provide quality services.

The food service was painfully slow and below standard. After arriving in the afternoon, we ordered parathas, which took a staggering two hours to arrive. When they finally did, the quality was dreadful—hardly edible and certainly not worth the wait.

The overall experience was a catalogue of failures—rude staff, inadequate facilities, and a shocking lack of professionalism. While the manager made some effort to address a few issues, it was too little, too late.

Kinara Village Resort is far from the tranquil and comfortable retreat it claims to be. Instead, it was an exercise in frustration and disappointment. I strongly advise anyone considering this resort to avoid it at all costs. Spare yourself the unpleasant experience and look elsewhere for a truly...

Hotel Kinara Family Dhaba – Patas, Pune-Mumbai Highway

⭐️ Rating: 4.5/5 📍 Category: Dhaba, Family Restaurant 📷 Suggested Photos: Entrance, Menu, Seating, Parking, Food Plating 🕰 Timings: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM 🚻 Amenities: Washroom, Parking, Outdoor Seating 💳 Payments: Cash, UPI Accepted

✍️ My Detailed Review:

Hotel Kinara Family Dhaba near Patas is an absolute gem on the Pune–Solapur Highway. 🛣️ Whether you're traveling with friends, family, or just stopping solo for a break, this place offers that authentic rural dhaba experience with modern comfort.

The seating is spacious, offering both indoor and semi-outdoor options. 🌿 Wooden benches and lantern-style lights give it a rustic charm. We ordered the chicken thali and paneer masala with butter naan — and both were finger-licking good. 🍗🧀 The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. Don't miss the buttermilk (chhas) — it's refreshing and comes in a big steel glass, perfect after a spicy meal. 🥛

Staff is polite and attentive. Service was reasonably fast even during rush hour. Parking is available, and the place is clean — especially the handwash and toilet areas, which are often neglected at roadside eateries. 🚻

Another highlight is the location — it's easy to spot from the highway and open late into the evening. 🌙

🔍 Suggestions for New Visitors:

Go early in the evening to avoid weekend rush.

Their mutton curry is popular among regulars.

They also accept UPI payments, which is helpful...

Just off the Old Mumbai–Pune Highway, Kinara Village Dhaba delivers a memorable blend of vibrant ambiance and hearty Indian flavors. Its rustic, village-style decor—complete with shamiana tents, charpais, swings, and fairy lights- creates a lively and warm atmosphere.

The huge open-air seating accommodates families, groups, and solo travelers. Children can enjoy elements like camel rides, a fish spa, astrology stalls, and a toy shop while parents unwind. Service tends to be friendly and attentive, though on busy weekends dishes may arrive slightly delayed.

Signature dishes include creamy Butter Chicken, rich Dal Makhani, spicy Chicken Banjara Tikka, and flavorful Lucknowi Chicken. Vegetarians will appreciate options like Methi Lasuni Palak and Dal Fry, though consistency may vary. Don’t miss dessert treats such as Kesar Jalebi, Matka Kulfi, or hearty Rabdi, rounded off with their unique Tandoori Chai or refreshing mocktails.

While some guests find dishes slightly overpriced or uneven in quality, overall Kinara offers a fun, culturally rich dining experience. With its vast setting, engaging activities, and expansive menu, it’s a top pick for day-trippers seeking lively vibes and Punjabi-Indian comfort food...

Visited this restaurant with office colleagues, drawn in by its spacious setting and promising ambience. While the place is spread over a wide area and has a welcoming vibe, the experience was a mixed bag. The ambience had potential, but the excessive disturbance and loud live music turned it into more of a distraction than an enhancement. At certain points, it felt more like noise rather than an enjoyable performance. When it comes to food, the Desi Khaana (North Indian cuisine) was the only saving grace—flavorful and well-prepared. However, the rest of the menu was way below average, failing to meet expectations. Most of my colleagues shared the same sentiment, leaving quite disappointed with the overall culinary experience. On a positive note, the staff was courteous and attentive, which added some value to the visit. But given the overall experience, I’d say it’s a decent spot if you’re only looking for good North Indian food, but not the best choice if you’re expecting an all-rounder dining experience.
