Well if the bright lights on the first floor doesn't draw you to the restaurant the promise of a wonderful welcome drink of sweet cold lassi and amazing food should do the trick.
Pind Punjab is a delightful eatery tucked in a corner in Kharadi, very close to the World Trade Center in Pune. We had passed the place a few times but finally went in for food.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the amazing sweet lassi that they serve complimentary as a welcome drink. The drink relaxes you and somehow works wonders on your appetite.
We tried the starters.. Melt in the mouth kebabs.. Very fresh and very tasty. The blend of spices are really done very well. There are ample choices for both the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian patrons. In fact I would suggest that you should try both if you can. We did and were pleasantly surprised by the taste, the dahi ke kabab, the cheese corn kebab, the chicken reshmi kebab, the pahadi kebabs were each very delicious.
The main course was done to perfection pind chole, dal makhani, chicken rara were finger licking good and of course the rotis were warm and fresh. The service is quick and friendly. The restaurant uses spices very well, all items we had, had distinct taste and was well balanced.
We didn't try the rice dishes or the chinese, frankly speaking we were looking out for a dhaba meal and not only was our tummy full but the hearts were happy to eat a wonderful meal.
I am sure we are coming back to try the other dishes on the menu very soon, there are so many...
Read moreWe ordered a lunch through Zomato and the food was really good. So good that we thought of going there for dinner. We were disappointed.
It takes a long time for the waiter to appear. The food appeared without utensils or even water.
The waiter flat out refused to serve chole bhature. It was available for take away/ delivery. The man at the counter doesn’t even look at you when talking to you. So much for the service.
We ordered their speciality jalebi with rabdi. The jalebi had old oily smell to it. We complained to a waiter and his first reply was “it is not possible.” We asked him to try for himself, he assured us that he would get it checked. We waited for 30 min and nobody came to change it.
When we went to settle the bill, the man at the counter said he could have changed it, we told him that we already complained to the waiter but he didn’t say anything to the waiter.
The rabdi was plain condensed milk with few dry fruits sprinkled around.
In short, do not dare to visit the place for dine in. I haven’t seen so bad customer service in a restaurant that charges 350 bucks for a side dish. It is not worth the try. Worst experience in...
Read moreDo NOT order from Pind Punjab via Swiggy – Missing Items & Poor Support.. Fraud!! Farud!!! Fraud!!!
I had a terrible experience ordering from Pind Punjab. I placed an order for Veg Hakka Noodles and Jalebi Rabri. However, when I received the parcel, the Jalebi Rabri was missing.
I opened the delivery in front of the Swiggy delivery executive and informed him immediately. He told me the restaurant had only given him one item and advised me to report it to Swiggy. I contacted Swiggy support, they asked me to contact the restaurant directly.
I somehow managed to get Pind Punjab’s number and called them to explain the situation. They outright denied any mistake and insisted both items were packed. I even shared a video showing the unboxing of the delivery, but they still denied it and told me to deal with Swiggy.
When I asked them to check their CCTV footage of the packing area, they said the cameras hadn’t been working for 2–3 days and then told me rudely to “do whatever you want.”
This was not just poor service, but a clear case of negligence or worse. I’m attaching the video for reference.
Avoid ordering from Pind Punjab and never order...
