This so-called “Swagat restaurant and bar” is, without a doubt, one of the worst excuses for an establishment I have ever had the misfortune of stepping into. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a stench that’s somewhere between stale beer, unwashed carpets, and deep regret. The décor looks like it was last updated in the early 90s—assuming it was ever designed at all—featuring peeling wallpaper, cracked tiles, and flickering lights that give the whole place the ambiance of a condemned building.
The service? Absolutely appalling. The staff seem to have been trained in the art of ignoring customers while simultaneously exuding pure hostility. Good luck getting a menu without having to wave someone down like you’re stranded on a deserted island. And when you finally do get someone’s attention, expect attitude, eye rolls, and the unmistakable impression that they’d rather be anywhere else.
As for the food—if you can even call it that—it’s an abomination. The menu promises dishes that sound vaguely appetizing, but what arrives at your table is a crime against cuisine. Overcooked, under-seasoned, or downright inedible, every plate is a new level of disappointment. The chicken tastes like shoe leather chewing, and the seafood? Let’s just say it smells like it’s been sitting out for days. I wouldn’t feed this garbage to a stray dog.
And don’t even get me started on the drinks. Calling it a “bar” is an insult to actual bar overpriced and .The beer is either flat or warm, and the bartender seems like they just learned how to mix drinks from a YouTube tutorial five minutes before their shift.
To top it all off, the prices are an absolute scam. Paying this much for such horrendous food and service should be illegal. The only reason this place is still in business is probably because unsuspecting tourists stumble in before realizing their mistake too late.
In short, avoid this place at all costs. If you’re looking for an enjoyable meal, a decent drink, or even the slightest hint of basic human decency, look elsewhere. This dump isn’t worth your time, money, or...
Read moreWorst hotel of my entire life. I went with my family to enjoy nice dinner and this hit me. Order prawn fry as a starter, cost of dish was mentioned as APC - (as per cost). Had to wait for almost 45 minutes for order to show up at the table. Then ordered Chinese noodles. Same thing with noodles, took almost half hour or so to get. I was presented with half boiled and half cooked hakka noodles. Left everything as it is in plate and ask pilot about taste, he went inside the kitchen to never show his face again. I was charged for ₹450/- for 8 pieces of prawn, whereas I could have brought 1kg of the same in Hadapsar fish market. Was felt cheated and sad, because even after paying full amount you don't get a service you deserve. I don't write negative reviews for anyone but Swagat Macchi House just crossed the line. If you want to save your money and time, please don't go to this pathetic and poorly managed...
