I visited the Hard Rock Cafe at Amanora Mall, Hadapsar, with my family yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite the buzz around this place, the service, customer orientation, and overall atmosphere were disappointing from the moment we arrived until we left.
Our experience began at the reception, where the bouncers noted down our details—name, contact number, and number of guests. But just as we were about to enter, we were called back and informed that because there was a bar inside, we wouldn’t be allowed to sit indoors with kids, and we were instead directed to sit outside. The outdoor seating, however, was clearly meant for smokers, which was not ideal for my family. As we reluctantly started walking out, the bouncer called us again, saying he had spoken to the restaurant manager and that we could now be accommodated indoors.
Upon entering, we were offered a cramped seating arrangement that was far from comfortable. I asked for couch-style seating, which was available but was told it was reserved. Given how uncomfortable the initial arrangement was, we decided to leave for another restaurant. Just as we were about to go, the supervisor approached us again and said he had arranged the couch-style seating for us. Interestingly, there was no actual reservation; it seemed they were just holding the seats for a larger group, but we were a family of five, and the couches could easily accommodate six.
This back-and-forth took about 20 minutes, and once seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes for someone to take our order. The ordering process was chaotic. We chose Steak Burgers, Pasta, Flatbread, and Mocktails, but the food quality was average at best. It certainly didn’t live up to the hype. Honestly, I’ve had much better meals at POP Tates and Agent Jack's, both in terms of taste and value.
The ambiance and music were more suited for a younger crowd, possibly in the 21 to 25 age bracket, who might enjoy the drinks, karaoke, and loud music. For families, especially with kids, the overall experience was far from enjoyable. The cutlery, presentation, and overall atmosphere were below average, making it unlikely that we’d return for another visit.
In summary, the Hard Rock Cafe at Amanora Mall failed to meet our expectations, both in terms of food and service. What should have been a pleasant dining experience turned into an ordeal of confusion and discomfort. Families looking for a laid-back, quality meal might want to...

The place is called Hard Rock Cafe and they DJ went on playing Mika Singh, Arijit, some other Hindi & Punjabi new age tracks and stuff.
No offence to Bollywood music, artists or listeners but how can HRC play Bollywood commercial tracks?
In order to know this ,I went up to the manager and asked him the same thing to which he said, " Have you visited other HRCs across India where they play regional music too"
I contested saying that language isn't a problem. You can play Hindi , Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Malyalam or whatever language across the globe as long as they are independent artists or at least playing genres that HRC is known for.
He mentioned that the guests love the desi tracks and it's good for the business to offer what the guests want.
When it comes to business, I do agree that it is supposed to be a priority as it can be challenging to sustain.
But why call it HRC then I asked . You could have simply called it something else but HRC as it's misleading.
It's like going to some other restaurant known to play Ghazals and eventually get stuck listening to death metal.
I was totally disappointed by the music and simply want to convey that you got in this business and called it HRC knowing what you were getting into so may be work things around it or simply change the name.
This is just a humble opinion out of my passion for music and I don't mean to challenge the brand, business or your strategies in any way.
Bad: Outdoor seating is like listening to noise from other restaurants playing their music loudly and fusing it with HRCs bollywood stuff. It's a total chaos.
Good: The food and service was good and the menu was elaborate too. They do play some western tracks too so I'd like to call it HARDLY ROCK CAFE.
Hope brands like you bring the Pune music scene back to what it was and I'd be definitely coming again for the food and hopefully a...
