Lower Parel has come to be not just the Moolah Mining borough of Mumbai, but also the hub of creatively led businesses and media houses. This is where start-ups come to become corporations, and ideas become institutions. Todi Mill Social aims to play a catalyst to just that. Todi Mill Social finds home in a large 7,000 sq. ft repurposed Loom Mill. The design aims at retaining the enchanting old school Mill structure of the 1920's flanked by elements of the age. Think retro sloping roofs, now interjected with a plethora of skylights which flood the restaurant with much needed abundant natural light. The original robust steel columns at the periphery, almost a century old, make way for the entrance through a spanking orange shipping container. The space has 100% recycled furniture and repurposed objects that quirk up the décor, while miniaturized wire framed installations of the space itself complete the design palette. Its bare walls, whilst speaking of the era gone by, strike up an unconventional but intriguing dialogue with the natural greenery that peeks into the old wooden, black stained windows, designed to open up cubicle-blinkered minds. Not to forget, the open courtyard at the rear peeping into the main space through the metal bar ledge, makes room for some spontaneous, dynamic conversations. Blending the functionality of a workspace with the ambience of a café, #TodiMillSocial aims to be nothing less than the handloom to weave together all of Mumbai’s next institution establishers and mold breakers.

Went for Ana Lila and Leeann Robert's gig. Ana Lila didn't turn up. Down section was overcrowded as hell. No place to stand forget dancing. 0 crowd management. Somehow managed to go to the small upper section which was also packed but somewhat bearable. Lighting and sound systems are outdated and looks like you are partying in early 2001. They have speakers at the back but looked like they were hardly working. Techno gigs are all about lighting and sound effects and both needs a serious upgrade. Washrooms are dirty and messy and no one bothers to clean them. We are paying for the entry and then again paying for overpriced drinks (350 for a redbull, 575 for small gordons gin, 575 for a budwiser magnum) atleast upgrade for a better experience. Your bartenders are busy dancing on Techno music wherein they should be more attentive to serving drinks to customers. Only thing going for you is there are no other places in South mumbai which has regular techno gigs. For that giving you one star 🌟

Visited them on 6th February 2022, for Sunday brunch. We had bought 9 coupons via Nearby App for a school reunion. The food was very, very average. The kathi roll and kheema pau were kinda better than the other food. They kept bringing us the same veg starters instead of bringing us non veg starters. We kept telling them, "we've had this, bring us the other non-veg stuff from the brunch menu", but the servers ran around like headless chicken doing absolutely nothing to bring us our food. The delayed from their side, between starters and main course was nearly 1 hour 30 minutes. To bring me a simple coke, they took 34 minutes. Service-wise, they are BEYOND PATHETIC! Food-wise, absolutely, below average. Do NOT waste your money here. Seedhi baat, no bakwas! Going to tell my friends who were with me to copy paste this messsge, too, from their respective Google, and other, accounts. No one should have to waste their hard-earned money on such places. RIDICULOUS!

I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for hosting such incredible gigs. Whether it’s been a vibrant event or an intimate gathering, the experience has always been one of warmth, energy, and excitement. From the moment I walked through the door, I could feel the dedication and attention to detail that went into organizing everything. Every aspect of these gigs seemed meticulously planned to make sure everyone had a fantastic time.

The Atmosphere: A Blend of Energy and Comfort

One of the first things that struck me was the atmosphere. It was clear that these gigs were designed to be more than just an event. They were crafted as an immersive experience. The music, the lighting, and even the choice of venue all came together beautifully to create a space where people could relax, enjoy, and be themselves. Whether it was a small, intimate show or a full-scale concert, the vibe was always electric. The energy in the room was contagious, and it was impossible not to get caught up in the rhythm.

Exceptional Organization and Attention to Detail

It’s often said that the magic is in the details, and this was certainly the case. The event flowed seamlessly from one act to the next, with perfect timing and no awkward pauses. There was a great balance between live performances, audience interaction, and breaks, making sure that no one ever felt bored or overwhelmed. I was particularly impressed by how well the crew managed the technical aspects. The sound and lighting were perfect, ensuring that every song sounded crisp, and the visual effects added a new layer of depth to the experience.

A Diverse and Talented Lineup

The most remarkable thing about the gigs was the talent on display. Each performance was unique and brought something new to the table. Whether it was a local indie band, a solo artist, or a big-name DJ, every artist gave their best. The variety in genres ensured that there was something for everyone. The music was fresh, innovative, and, at times, even experimental. What I appreciated most was how inclusive the event was—there were acts for all tastes, which meant that whether you were into mainstream hits, underground tunes, or something in between, there was a perfect match for you.

Audience Engagement: Bringing People Together

Another aspect that stood out was the way the hosts encouraged audience participation. From singing along to cheering, to even dancing, the events were always incredibly interactive. I loved how the performers would engage directly with the crowd, creating an almost symbiotic relationship where the audience felt like an essential part of the performance. The sense of community was palpable, and I think that’s what makes these gigs stand out from others. It wasn’t just about watching a show—it was about being a part of something special.

Seamless Ticketing and Logistics

The logistics of the event were impressive. I’ve attended many gigs in the past, and while some were marred by chaotic ticketing or unclear event information, that was certainly not the case here. The ticketing process was easy and straightforward. Upon arrival, everything was well-organized, with clear signage and friendly staff making sure that the check-in process was smooth. The fact that the event wasn’t overcrowded meant that the atmosphere felt intimate, and the flow of people was always comfortable.

The Food and Drink Experience

No event is complete without some great food and drinks, and I was not disappointed. From quick bites to sit-down meals, the food options were diverse and high-quality. The bars were well-stocked with a wide selection of drinks, and the staff was quick to attend to everyone. I especially appreciated the variety in food choices—whether you were vegan, gluten-free, or just craving a hearty meal, there was something for everyone.

What truly set these gigs apart was the sense of inclusivity. There was a warm, welcoming feeling that made everyone feel comfortable, no matter who they were or where...

Worst behaviour of the guy who approves entry. So, I traveled from Pune to Mumbai as there was a band show. It was my one day trip. As I traveled, I had a small backpack and in that there was a bottle of water and some packed food. The bouncers checked my bag and said, "You cannot enter due to the food items and water bottle". I asked them if they have some baggage counter or something like that to keep my bag till the show ends, but they didn't had such facility and they totally denied my entry. The bouncers asked the guy who was giving entries if they can let me in but he also denied. Then I talked with him directly and I experienced huge, literally very huge arrogance from him like I was a beggar or something. He said wait till all all people go inside. And then in the end, he said you cannot enter, keep your bag somewhere else. I told him nobody that I know lives here, then he was like that's your problem, you cannot go inside. But then bouncers took me aside, and asked me if I really can do something about the bag. So I requested them that please can you keep the packet and bottle somewhere. Finally they agreed and kept it somewhere. Then I took my items back after the show. Thanks to those bouncers. But due to such rude behaviour of staff, I did not buy anything inside, not even water. Such people need to understand that they are still in business because of customers and they should learn to behave with people. Even though I was not a direct customer, I went there for the band show but I could have been their potential customer but they lost me and also many other people because even in this digital age, mouth publicity is the best publicity. No one wants to go to a place where staff is rude. I would never suggest this place to anyone that I know. If you want to go to this place, do not take anything with you. That's it. Thanks...
