Balwas restaurant is closed to Wankhede stadium & Fashion Street, -Churchgate. They serve Indian and Chinese cuisine. Seating arrangements along with interiors of the restaurant are very comfortable and beautiful. They have a separate large Banquet and Conference Hall attached to the restaurant. This is being used to cater heavy rush or is being rented out for parties. We ordered: Virgin pinacolada: It had pineapple juice with fresh vanilla ice-cream and topped pineapple. It was creamy and refreshing. Presentation was brilliant. Fresh pineapple juice: It was a pure pineapple juice with cut fruit topping. Tandoori Pomfret: Fresh jumbo size pomfret was marinated in yogurt and spices. It was cooked to perfection in tandoor. It was served with green chutney and mayonnaise. It was scrumptious and we enjoyed it the most. Mutton Seekh kabab: Tender mutton was finely minced and marinated with spices and cream. It was roasted to perfection to safeguard its juices. Mutton Bhuna with cheese garlic naan : Boneless mutton chunks were cooked with mint and spices in red thick onion and tomato based gravy. It was delicious. Bheja masala: Brain was cooked with herbs and spices in thick red gravy. A must try dish for all the organ lovers. King Prawns Masala: Fresh jumbo sized prawns were cooked with spices to form a thin red gravy. It tasted yummy. Rasmalai: The rasmalai was creamy and milky. It was light, spongy, spiced with cardamom and aromatic saffron. It was irresistible and we were unable to stop at just one. Pot Kulfi: Kulfi was served with with rabri. It was solid, dense with lots of nuts, saffron and condense milk. It was yummy. It was my favourite dessert. Mr. Saeed welcomed and greeted us professionally. Mr. Ejaz served us extremely well and suggested us the best dishes of the restaurant. He helped us to select the best by explaining us the dishes in details ensuring to suit our taste buds. The staff was polite, well mannered, well behaved and safety conscious. Their kitchen was neat and clean to match the international standards. It's a must visit place for delicious, authentic Mughlai and Chinese food.

I had a very disappointing experience with Hotel Balwas Churchgate even me being a regular customer for them when we have guest at our place. I placed an order for β‚Ή6000, but they missed out on one of the parcels. When I called them to report the issue, they didn't take my address properly for redeliver. The executive disconnected the call when his name was asked....when i called again with same number twice they didn't respond...only answered after sometime when called with another number.... To make matters worse, the delivery agent called me 10 times to ask for my address, which was very frustrating. This experience ruined the party mood for my family, and we were left unhappy. Food taste was not as expected... Chinese cuisine was as per their own standard god knows what they made when triple rice should be served with separate gravy ,they mixed both rice and gravy together and gave in single container as Chinese Dal Khichdi.... Seer disappointment.. My suggestion to them is to learn proper SOP to run the hotel business and carry your legacy Moreover, the lane next to the hotel serves better food ( On Street Kau Galli) and, when you order, they always make proper arrangements. I would not recommend ordering from Balwas hotel to anyone...

If you are searching for a decent multi-cuisine dine-in restaurant near Fashion Street & Churchgate then Balwas' Restaurant should be your go-to place. The restaurant is situated on the road of Khaugalli & Bombay Hospital. We went here for a friend's birthday party ( Ofcourse Before Lockdown). The place is very popular in the locality thus attracts a good amount of crowd. The menu has a good variety to choose from however we ordered with Manchow Soup & Non-Veg North Indian Cuisine. The taste was awesome. The staff was helpful & helped us to decide our order. The ambience is pleasant. The menu is moderately priced. Upon stepping into this restaurant, I had high hopes for a delightful culinary experience. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly waned as I took a bite of the tawa chicken. To put it lightly, it was a culinary disaster. The masala paste lacked any discernible flavor profile; instead, it seemed like a chaotic mishmash of spices competing for attention. It left me wondering if the chef had mistaken the kitchen for a science lab experiment gone wrong.

Adding to the disappointment was the peculiar behavior of one waiter who seemed to have a personal vendetta against me. His lingering stares bordered on the uncomfortable, and I couldn't shake the feeling that my presence was somehow unwelcome. It's a shame that such unprofessionalism tainted what could have been a decent dining experience.

In the end, it's not just about the taste of the food but also the atmosphere and service that contribute to a restaurant's appeal. Regrettably, this establishment fell short on all fronts.

Taste: β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜† The tawa chicken failed to justify its steep price tag, lacking any semblance of flavor refinement. The masala paste was an unpalatable mishmash of spices, resulting in a disappointing and regrettable dining experience.

Service: β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜† Despite the restaurant's efforts to maintain a hospitable environment, the unprofessional conduct of one waiter significantly detracted from the overall service quality. His unwelcoming demeanor and judgmental stares left a sour taste in an otherwise mediocre dining experience.

Atmosphere: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† The restaurant ambiance offered a semblance of comfort and relaxation, with pleasing lighting and seating arrangements enhancing the dining atmosphere. However, the exorbitant prices and lackluster food quality undermined the overall dining experience.

Overall Experience: β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜† In summary, the overpriced and underwhelming food offerings, coupled with the unprofessional behavior of select staff members, make this restaurant difficult to recommend. While the ambiance attempted to salvage the dining experience, it ultimately fell short of offsetting the disappointing culinary and service...
