Barista Coffee बरिस्ता कॉफी
May 2025: There's a vast outer seating area. There's also a fairly large inner seating area, which is air-conditioned. They have free WiFi and a restroom. And their menu has been updated. There's a pretty large percentage of clientele who seem to be here to work on their computers: so, they definitely allow you to sit here and work, without trying to toss you out (as a few other cafes tend to do!). The music is contemporary but discreet, and adds a little "extra" something to the environment. The padded sofa banquette is very comfortable. I could easily sit here for hours, and read or work. A small Cafe Mocha ☕ is Rs 315 (with taxes), so it's not exactly cheap, but it's definitely worth it, thanks to the nice space and atmosphere. (Ekta Kamble was really lovely, made a great coffee for me, and I found the overall service to be excellent and friendly.) 5 Stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Added extra info: This area is a mix of old and new buildings. The original old-time owners aren't anywhere as well off as the new ones, so the cafes and eateries in the area range from the very affordable to the fairly expensive. However, so far, it's not anywhere near as opulent and over-the-top expensive as the Juhu and Bandra areas. Even the more expensive cafes here are fairly friendly, and the clientele are the working-rich (as opposed to the stinking rich! 😆😁). Everyone is interested in their work, and (thankfully!) not interested in acting as billboards for brand logos. You'll find a more business-lass or tech-bro vibe here (t-shirts, shorts, sports shoes, big headphones, laptops). It's also adjacent to an area rich with folk who work in industries related to TV, movie, and theater, so you'll see a lot of that crowd in the cafes here. And it's right next to Versova Beach, so the air...

I went to Barista Versova, today around 11 and ordered a cappuccino. Being busy with my work and life, i didn't realise there was an offer running where i get a coffee and puff at 179. I was very hungry, browsing the display food and spoke to the cashier for what's available cheap, asked for cookies. I didn't have money to spend and settled for a cappuccino. After my billing, i look at the other bills there and realise the offer existed. I asked the cashier - what's this offer? He said that it's put on display outside. I was in shock because I could've been eating and drinking in that offer. Out of courtesy, i asked the cashier - you could've told me too right? We could've billed that offer only, right? The cashier seemed helpless. I paid 270+, and still got less than what any regular customer would've gotten. I wish i had seen the poster too but i feel awful about not being able to get my money's worth in the store when i was...
Read moreI recently visited Barista cafe in Versova and decided to try their hot chocolate with hazelnut topping. I chose the Regular size for my hot chocolate, which was priced at Rs. 285 and opted for an topping of hazelnut, which incurred an additional cost of Rs. 50. (Total cost came to around Rs. 380 including taxes) Hazelnut hot chocolate had a rich chocolate with a hazelnut flavor. It was not that impressing but okayish. Consistency was not thick.
I also ordered an Barista Blast cold coffee with Irish topping, which was priced at approximately Rs. 400 with taxes. Irish coffee was very good. I loved the taste but quantity was less as per the price.
