Very cute, cozy cafe The classic Blue Tokai interiors Has outdoor seating, and can accommodate large groups Has a small bookshelf to borrow books during your visit We tried the: Classic Hot Chocolate - Not overtly sweet, light, and simple Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate - The peanut butter was subtle, cutting through the richness Banana Hot Chocolate - Not my favourite, a bit too intense banana for me, but others seemed to enjoy it. You might like it if you like banana Caramelized Almond Latte - If you like your coffee with sweetener, get this. It was my favourite. A good cup of coffee and the right amount of sweetness and almonds Caramelized Almond Shake - Flavour wise nothing stood out to me. It was creamy but too sweet Chocolate Cruffin - A good flaky cruffin with a decent amount of smooth chocolate Pistachio Raspberry Croissant - It's a dessert, sweet because of the raspberry jam, topped with pistachios. The croissant was a cross between flaky and bread-y. Almond Cookie - Very crumbly, moderately sweet, fun to eat Plain Croissant - A simple, well baked croissant, nothing to write home about Korean bun - Good bread to filling ratio, soft roll, flavourful...

I really want to like this place, it's within walking distance of where I live, and has a lovely outdoor garden to sit and enjoy coffee.

However, the service (and often the food/coffee) is so bad that it makes me always think twice about visiting.

I went today and they forgot my order after I paid for it and waited half an hour. The previous time I went, they gave me a very lazily-made cappuccino. Whenever I order espresso drinks from here online, they NEVER steam the milk and just add hot milk to an espresso, resulting in a cappuccino or latte that's just an expensive espresso shot with milk on top. Food ordered online from here also tastes bad (I think because of the paper packaging), and there have been multiple occassions where a takeaway coffee has leaked and spilled on me while drinking it.

Unfortunately, the redeeming feature, which is the outdoor space, is also used as the smoking section - I was once asked to share a table with a smoker even. So you can't sit outdoors at most times without people smoking around you.

Place has potential but the service quality really needs work.

Anyway, the coffee is ok if you have it at the cafe,...

Really good coffee. Really really bad staff

They don’t remember coffee orders. Have to repeat orders thrice at the cashier

Ordered a cortado triple shot. They got me a normal double shot in the 100ml cup. When I told them to correct it, they went and got it back in the same cup without doing anything to it and pretended it was a triple shot.

A normal cortado is 40ml coffee, 60ml milk. My triple shot order is 60ml coffee, 60ml milk. It physically can’t fit in the 100ml cup

I spend 4-5k a month at Blue Tokais. Never have I had an experience as bad as the Breach Candy one with a staff that refuses to learn or fix mistakes
