A pan asian fine dine is my latest weakness and every time I have to try this cuisine I get excited and look forward to my visit. Soi 69 has been in the limelight lately and it’s sure to make a place in my heart. Was there to have dinner last night and I could see the who’s who of south Mumbai dining there. The sobo crowd is chic and classy and the place is elite so it’s a definite ritzy experience. The place is small but pretty. Was a full house on a Thursday night which speaks volumes of its fame already. Right from the restaurant in charge, miss simran to our attendant, Kumar, everyone was perfect. They were attentive and friendly. In fact an extra brownie point to Kumar for being the best ever. I was confused on deciding the food so He made me stress free as he took over the charge of ordering on my behalf. Loved his helpful gesture and he definitely came up with the best of drinks and food for us. Highly thankful to Kumar.
The food and drinks just kept flowing and all of it was amazing.
In the beverages we tried a lot of variety, I wouldn’t know the cocktails but the fruity notes were fantastic my friends told me. I tried the Mocktails and they were coffee sangria, caprice and strawberry float. All 3 were unique and delicious. The best was the coffee sangria.
Sushi - In the appetisers we started with the in house special dishes. Green house California roll, which was made with avacado, asparagus, cream cheese, cucumber and yuzu mayo. Was soft and the binding was great. The other one was the tempura roll. A mix of soft n crispy. Fantastic. The pickled ginger, wasabi and soy dip just complimented the sushi well.
Soups. Tom yum & Tom kha. We ordered for both and both were zesty and piquant. The difference between the two was the coconut milk used in Tom kha. Both had lots of vegetables and spices to give a nice punch of flavours.
Mushroom gyoza. One of the best appetisers. The menu is quite compact but still manages to give out the best.
Salad - spicy raw mango and papaya salad. Both were super but we especially loved the mango salad. It was a knot above. Lovely citrusy flavour and crunch of peanuts made it so delicious.
Thai green curry and Jasmine rice. A main par excellence. We loved the flavour of the jasmine rice. The curry was of course fantastic but the rice just bowled us over.
Noodles. The basic soy garlic flavour was amazing. Just a perfect dish for me.
Dessert. Do not miss the honey toast with icecream here. It’s got the wow factor which is commendable. We chose the vanilla and black sesame icecream along with it. Was fantastic. A dessert so unique and tasty is rare to find. The slight salted caramel flavour along with the peanut crunch added feathers to the entire flavour.
Chef Senthyl has definitely proved his talent here by making all of us happy and content with this meal. I definitely look forward...

Read moreAmbience is mediocre. Food isn't fabulous and I don't feel you'll really feel satisfied with the service out there. While parking might not be an issue due to the building it is in, is supposed to be a building for paid parking, I doubt it's a place you would want to visit frequently. It's definitely a good attempt, and I have seen that the quality of the food has improved since the last time I went there. It's got really delectable fries and I hope to see a more promising menu soon with more indulging food! Also the seating is pretty cosy and the place seems to be pretty happening with a lively crowd. They've also managed to keep reasonable pricings...
