Balmy Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Mumbai

Yesterday I had gone for a late lunch at Balmy, had heard the hype around this place so much. The ambience was definitely very Instagramy but the food and the service was very poor.

We had ordered Nacho Bowl (Rs. 545) having had some of the best Nacho Bowls in town to my surprise the chips were literally just Doritos Sweet Chilly Flavor, the entire combination of this bowl tasted very odd. The prices didn't even justify the quantity and the quality of food. The second thing we ordered were the Yaki Udon Noodles (Rs.450), for a place which specializes in Asian cuisine, the noodles were very salty and had excessive oil in it, they were so greasy that we couldn't have more than two bites. Coming to the service of this place, considering we went in late afternoon there were only two other groups, despite this the staff was very unattentive. I would genuinely not recommend this place to my family or friends, they are charging exorbitant price for their poor quality food and services other than being an Instagramble place they have nothing...

I would definitely rate this place as 5 star for their food and service.

Nice and one of the happening place of south Mumbai Food is really excellent, Service is also very prompt and the serving team is equally good. We were attended by Mr Saddam and we ordered most of items as per his suggestion and every thing that came on the table were excllentOwner Mr Amey was present at the restaurant and that to made a big difference. The after taste of the food was also excellent and this speaks abt the quality of ingredients used for every items that is served in this place. I would strongly recommend the following

Regrettably, my recent visit to Balmy was marred by exceptionally poor treatment, particularly due to our booking through Zomato. Despite there being available tables, we were denied a better one and were informed that we had only one hour for dining. This arbitrary restriction, coupled with the unwelcoming behavior of the receptionist (Payal), soured what could have been an enjoyable meal. It's disheartening to encounter such discrimination against customers based on the platform they use for reservations. I urge the management to reconsider their policies and ensure fair treatment for all diners, regardless of how they make their bookings. I have even filled the feedback form. Food is below average and overpriced. Definitely a big NO. Mumbai has much better places with good hospitality. Horrible experience...
