Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters at Nariman Point offers a cozy spot for coffee enthusiasts in Mumbai's business district. Located on the ground floor of the CR2 Mall, it's a convenient retreat for office-goers and shoppers alike.

The café is celebrated for its freshly brewed coffees, including pour-overs, cappuccinos, and lattes. Patrons often praise the quality of the coffee, noting its rich aroma and balanced flavors. Accompanying the beverages are popular pastries like almond croissants and chocolate cookies, which complement the drinks well.

The ambiance is described as quaint and peaceful, with large glass panes offering views of surrounding greenery, creating a serene environment amidst the city's hustle. However, some visitors have mentioned that the seating area is limited and the café shares space with a car showroom, which can affect the overall atmosphere.

Service experiences vary; while many find the staff attentive and knowledgeable, others have noted instances of slow service and less-than-friendly interactions. Despite these occasional drawbacks, the café maintains a strong reputation for its coffee quality and is a favored spot for those seeking a reliable caffeine fix in...

Update: Oh since BT actually replied after ages, here is an update. I tried the avo guac toast with eggs and swore I will never touch the food here ever again. Terrible. Went back to the store with the food and they said that food comes from a central kitchen and they cant do much about it. Fine. The cofee used to really good, now its just a super rushed affair with no real taste. I actually miss the days when Kaniz used to be that this store (when it was sharing space with a car showroom.) Clearly those days are gone. Do better. How will you help be with a silly link to another silly survey? Just do better. I paid for the coffee and food.

Older Review: The food and coffee taste great. Sandwiches and salads were not there to try the couple of times I have been. The servers though seem really unhappy about being there so it's a little bit of an unpleasant affair, especially if you are getting your morning coffee here. I prefer the nearby Starbucks simply because at the least the staff there doesn't look so disgruntled about...

The food was awesome. The quality of food with regards to the freshness and quality of ingredients is very good. The Smoked Chicken Scrambled Eggs Sourdough was exceptional. It is very well made and has a handsome quantity. The Brownie does lack a bit of the brownie texture and needs a bit of change in the baking technique.

The coffee........BEANS..... hmmmm ....... I have been a fan of Blue Tokai beans since sometime now. A benchmark brand when it comes to speciality coffee. A wide selection of light and medium roasts.

The coffee........ The barista knows exactly what she is preparing. All the coffees that I had were very well balanced. Extracted very well to enhance the secondary notes and hints of the complete coffee profile. Served at the correct temperature and in the correct cups. Cortado is a drink that requires perfect supervision as the shot may either be perfect or non-sense. The Barista gave perfect Cortados every time. She knew exactly to manage the brew as the roast level demands.

The entire breakfast...

I was genuinely excited to visit Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters at Nariman Point, especially after seeing their beautiful flavour guide and hearing so much about their Indian coffee profiles. I had planned to try a fresh cup and even purchase a bag of their Salvador Balanced beans. Unfortunately, despite having Emirati Dirhams (AED)—a currency widely accepted in many establishments across Mumbai including nearby cafes and shops—I was told that only INR is accepted with no flexibility at all. This was quite disappointing, especially since I had run out of Indian Rupees at the moment. What made it worse was the complete lack of policy flexibility or alternative options (like UPI, card, or digital wallets). It stopped what could have been a great experience, and I walked away without the coffee I came for. I truly hope the management considers adding some flexibility for international visitors or at least clarifies currency policies visibly for better customer experience.

I had a quick pitstop at this outlet. I'm crazy for coffee, and have experienced coffee culture in London, which has fairly influenced me. With that context, this coffee shop was fairly decent. The turnaround time was fairly decent, but was clunky, and could use improvement. Ambiance and interaction were great. For the uninitiated, coffee was good. For those who are into specialty coffee, I'd give it a rather 3 ⭐ for it was okiesh. I didn't have time to enquire which bean they used, but it didn't pair well with flat white. Also, the proportions felt a bit off, with a more Caffe Latte type quantity of milk. The barista was bang on with the swan/peacock latte art (again something uncharacteristic of flat whites), but 5 ⭐ for that. For those used to barista/cafe culture, the coffee was full value for money. Overall, I'd not hesitate to visit again and spend more time interacting with the baristas and understand their bean preferences.
