One of the most premium office locations in South Mumbai - Express Towers is host to The Sassy Spoon. Located on the ground floor, it is divided in two sections - outdoor seating as well as indoor. One is welcomed with beautiful fairy lights on the sides as well as fairy light chandeliers from top. Interiors are well done and have a rustic feel. One of the walls is super unique with so many suitcases. A neat bar section and a jukebox stand from where one can control music. Quite a big space and can easily accommodate large groups. Restaurant serves multi cuisine, primarily European, Asian and Modern Indian.

Talking about what all I tried at the Sassy Spoon -

We started with the Mushroom Soup with Cappuccino Foam on top. Superb way to begin your meal, the texture was rich, thick and creamy. Recommended. In this meal I actually went heavy on mushrooms, felt like having more and more of it. Hence also had a main with mushrooms in it. Next, we tried couple of starters - Teriyaki Glazed Tofu and Pumpkin, Corn and Green Chillies Thecha Croquettes. Tofu was served with lotus root, toasted sesame and scallions, where as Thecha Croquettes was served with pomegranate molasses dip. Both dishes were prepared well, those who dont have a preference for Tofu may go for Thecha. Fried croquettes prepared really well and tasted nice. Recommended.

Along with food, we had ordered for mocktails - Very Berry Khatta and Virgin Mojito. I would strongly suggest to go for their signature drink Very Bery Khatta which is a Kala khatta based drink with Mulberries, orange slice, pomegranate and grapes. Mixed well and a refreshing drink. Strongly recommended. From the mains section, we tried another mushroom delicacy - Butter tossed mushroom gnocchi and Multigrain pasta (pappardelle) in fenugreek pesto cream sauce. Again both dishes prepared quite well, depending on your preference for mushroom you may choose the dish. Mushroom Gnocchi was in porcini cream sauce with shallots, shimeji mushroom and topped with parmesan cheese. Creamy and thick, portion size was quite filling. Pasta dish has egg in its preparation so those who don't prefer egg should make a note of this. Also note, its multigrain and not the regular pasta noodles, which means a little harder. I personally enjoyed the flat pasta noodles along with the creamy pesto sauce and topped with cherry tomatoes. Quite different from the regular alfredo or arabiattas.

Last but not the least, we tried the White Caramelized Chocolate & Watermelon Mousse along with Guava Chilli Sorbet. I personally just loved the watermelon mousse, was not too sweet, just perfect. Mousse was placed on the caramelized white chocolate so those who prefer sweet can have a bite along with it and guava chilli sorbet adds a bit of sourness. All flavours in just one dessert. Perfect way to end a meal. Just go and try this dessert for sure.

All-in-all an evening well spent and a  experience at The Sassy Spoon. Next time shall also visit the The Sassy Teaspoon which is...

I have been searching for a dinner place with good ambience and service then found this restaurant near to marine drive.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Sassy Spoon, a cozy yet vibrant spot that boasts a creative menu blending global flavors. I tried a mix of dishes that spanned continents and palates, and the experience was a delightful journey of textures and tastes.

Tofu Cottage Cheese Poppers: We started with the Tofu Cottage Cheese Poppers, a fusion appetizer that set the tone for the evening. The outer coating was perfectly crisp, with just the right golden hue, while the inside offered a creamy, well-seasoned mix of tofu and paneer (cottage cheese). They came with a tangy dipping sauce that had a gentle kick—enough to awaken the palate without overwhelming it. A fantastic vegetarian take on classic bar bites.

Mexican Flatbread: Next up was the Mexican Flatbread, a standout. Thin, slightly crispy base with generous toppings of beans, corn, jalapeños, and melted cheese, drizzled with a spiced mayo or chipotle sauce. It was everything you want from Mexican-inspired comfort food—rich, cheesy, and bold. The balance of heat and acidity was spot on.

Spaghetti Garden Fresh: For the main course, I went with the Spaghetti Garden Fresh, a lighter, refreshing take on traditional spaghetti. The pasta was al dente, tossed with a medley of seasonal vegetables—zucchini, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli. The sauce was olive oil-based, subtly herbed, and allowed the natural sweetness and crunch of the veggies to shine. It was wholesome and satisfying without feeling heavy.

Moscow Cocktail: To complement the food, I ordered a Moscow Cocktail (presumably a Moscow Mule variant). It was served ice-cold in a copper mug, with a zingy blend of vodka, ginger beer, and lime. Crisp, spicy, and refreshing—the ginger really came through and made it the perfect palate cleanser between bites.

Glass of Beer: I ended the meal with a chilled glass of beer (a lager, if I’m not mistaken). It was light, slightly hoppy, and paired especially well with the flatbread and poppers. Not overly complex, but a solid choice to round out the meal.

Ambience & Service: The ambience was warm, with soft lighting and music that allowed for easy conversation. Service was attentive but not intrusive—our server was knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations.

Final Verdict: From East Asian bites to Mediterranean-Mexican fusion and classic Italian pasta, the restaurant delivered an impressive variety without losing authenticity or quality. Each dish stood on its own but also complemented the others, making the meal feel curated rather than chaotic. Whether you're a vegetarian or just looking to switch things up, this place is...

Sassy Spoon had no sass to offer with miserable service .

I have been going to sassy spoon since a long time now. I have had a good experience till they changed the menu, decor until recently.

Let me begin our plight. The manager Pranav was the rudest person I have ever met. He had his foreign accent along with attitude jumping off the roof as if he was doing a big favour by serving us. Dear sir, there are zillion restaurants with great ambience and good food.

We had reserved way in advance . They gave us a table right besides the kitchen door opening and closing continuously in fraction of seconds. Mr Pranav says we cannot do anything. This is what we have. Later we will see what we can do.

That’s not it, We overheard Mr Pranav saying “I will not be serving this table” to the other colleagues

He was absolutely rude beaming with attitude that the place was packed and how would one customer matter . He absolutely judged us thinking we are not that wealthy as we are cribbing for Dineout .

Excuse me, We have bought Dineout passport or whatever and have paid for it. And moreover your brand has associated with them.

That is just the start. Mr Prince is the same. He told us “You would not get anything except a dessert” . (We booked through Dineout so complimentary dessert) Dear Sir, mind your words. We are not begging you that you say those words.

And then Mr Prince avoids us extremely. We are calling out to him . A table besides us calls him and he goes there ignoring our tables.

Say what ?

We tried reaching to the General Manager Mr Viraj . He was the same.

Wait for it. The app Dineout says “Signature house dessert” . We visited three months back and got the amazing dessert . And now we got a mice slice bite of cake given pathetically and dry. We didn’t eat it .

The food was decent. The potato paratha theecha has mentioned mozzarella but there was no cheese inside.

The pasta was decent.

Overall, I don’t think I am going there anytime soon. There are better places with better ambience and food and definitely way more amazing staff who do their job instead of throwing airs...
