Oval Maidan is an energetic place for sports persons. The name Oval is due to the oval shape of the ground. It is one huge place where mostly cricket matches and cricket practice takes place. It's just next to churchgate station. Every evening you can see lot of youngsters playing cricket with their team/ friends. At any given time around 10-15 teams are practicing here mostly with tennis ball. Some professionals can also be seen having net practice with all cricket kit. This is one huge ground whose energy cannot be matched. I have never seen any ground having so much people playing, having fun without interrupted by other teams. There is one middle road which pedestrians can use too. Even pedestrians are happy to pass the ball if one comes near them. The crowd is also of a vide range. From youngsters, teenagers to working professionals after office hours are seen here. Sometimes one can also see elderly people having a walk or just stopping to watch a game of cricket. Even foreigners sometimes are seen mesmerized by the beauty and the auto of the Oval Maidan. It's always a fun time here at oval. A great place to connect with friends ,sports, people, health and fun all at one place. It's a great place to visit. You will enjoy the time you spent here. Always been in love with this place. If you are a sports freak and especially a cricket enthusiast and by evening time you are passing from here this place will definitely pull you towards itself. Great place to be by...
