I recently stayed at Hotel Marine Plaza in Mumbai and found its location on Marine Drive to be excellent, offering easy access to South Mumbai's best spots. The staff, while generally friendly and helpful, were reluctant to exchange our Euros preferring a card transaction, so we went to a bank instead. The clean and well-appointed room was large, and reasonably priced for its central location. The restaurant provided excellent food, albeit a bit pricey for dinner when compared to other local places. I had been for dinner since I wanted to try some rooftop restaurant by the bay. I had pathetic experience. Their roof top was closed so we went to the regular restaurant on the first floor. Looks wise it’s not bad but food and ambiance was pathetic. We had opted for buffet which was worth 2500₹+taxes which is definitely high. The ravioli didn’t taste authentic , neither was the other food stuff upto the mark. Some food stuff had an average taste while most were pathetic.
