China Bistro Worli — Restaurant in Mumbai

I enjoyed a rather splendid lunch earlier this week at China Bistro in Worli. With cosy interiors, a wide selection of food and drinks and even an option of a lavish buffet, this restaurant is truly a great option for lunch.

Here’s what we had :

• Edamame and Truffle Dumplings Unlike the usual dumplings available In Mumbai these dumplings has a filling of coarsest crushed edamame enhanced with the aroma of truffle oil. Wrapped in a glutinous skin and steamed to perfection, these were beautiful.

• Shanghai Chicken Dimsum These flavourful, juicy dumplings are what dreams are made of. Generous filling of chicken with a burst of chicken soup as you bite in, I alone ate 4 of these.

• Truffle Mushroom Chicken Sushi Roll I never thought I’d ever advocate chicken in a sushi roll but these combinations definitely worked. The shiitake mushroom marinated in a tangy sweet sauce, the crispy chicken and the well rolled rice all came together beautifully in this maki roll.

• South Asian Crispy Waterchestnut and Bamboo Shoot Another dish that absolutely bursts with flavour. The freshness from the bamboo shoot complements the crunchy texture of the water chestnuts and the spices of South Asia really shine in this wok preparation. A great dish for vegetarians to snack on.

• Crispy Fried Chicken Togarashi If you enjoy crispy fried chicken, this is the one for you. Succulent, juicy pieces of meat tossed in dry spices, chilly and peanuts. An interesting and fun twist to regular fried chicken.

To compliment my meal I ordered the Malta Orange Iced Tea which was honestly the perfect drink for a hot sunny afternoon in Mumbai. It had fresh juice, mint and lots of ice.

We finished our glorious meal with a very unique dessert, coconut dumplings served with a honey butter sauce. Now I am big on coconut and absolutely loved it. The filling of the dumplings reminded me of the good ol bounty chocolate and the salty butter sauce cut the seeetness of the dumplings and complimented it beautifully. It’s an unusual dessert for sure, but one that hit the right notes for me.

China Bistro

When I first heard about “China Bistro” my culinary curiosity piqued and I could not wait to dine at the restaurant. They have multiple outlets in Mumbai.

The city of Mumbai is certainly no stranger to Asian restaurants, with a plethora of them existent across the city. The place just has so much to offer. They serve Chinese & Japanese Cuisine.

On my recent trip, we decided to skip the conventional choices and try something different from the menu.

Starting off with Mocktails – Sangria Basil Iced Tea and Apricot Orange Blossom. Both were so refreshing.

Truffle Mushroom Chicken Roll : If you’re a Sushi lover like me, I would say go for it, otherwise if you’re trying it for the first time then surely it’s an art to know and accept that like what you’re eating. This dish has a better balance and great flavors.

Shanghai Chicken Dimsum: Amazing. Must try!!!

Crispy Fried Chicken Togarashi: Take a moment to savor the aroma and then dig in. You’ll love this. This was so delicious and super tempting.

Chicken Katsu Curry with Jasmine Rice: The quantity of the chicken was good but I've found the gravy was very less offered in the portion size.

Steamed Coconut Dumpling with Honey Butter Sauce: This was a must try dessert. It looks so elegant and tastes divine.

Overall, I had a great time. The chef and staff gave us a memorable experience. I will surely recommend this place to everyone.

One of the best place in Worli to visit for Asian Food This place in Worli Mumbai near to atria mall serves Buffet as well as A-la-carte Pan-Asian menu

Food we tried here 👇 Sangria Basil iced tea & Apricot Orange Blossom:- Sangria was very good & refreshing one whereas apricot Blossom was a thick creamy milkshake which was very tasty & good must try it

Truffle Mushroom Chicken Sushi:- Mushroom & Fried chicken Sushi roll was very good in taste soft outside & crispy chicken inside which made it soo good to try

Shanghai Chicken Dimsum :- Dimsum was the best just melt in mouth, it was very juicy & perfectly cooked chicken mince with very tender flavours & taste was fingerlicking good must try dimsums here

Crispy fried chicken Togarashi:- Wok tossed chicken crispies tossed with some peanuts & redchilles was kinda spicy & good flavours goes with ur drinks...

Chicken Katsu curry with Jasmine Rice:- Crispy chicken Katsu paired with a Japanese Veg gravy & Jasmine Rice was very flavourfull this one's is a must try in mains you can also opt for Veg as well the gravy taste was very rich & creamy must try😍

Steamed Coconut Dumplings:- This one is the best in desserts Coconut stuffed sweet dumplings was very delightful topped with honey butter sauce was very yummy definitely give it a try
