Does it need any introduction - Barbeque Nation. What a place this is. The concept is simple - eat till you drop. Cordial and quick service add utility to this place. Ambiance is simple yet with vibrant vibes. Live grilling experience- at the centre of your food table. They have buffet that is spread so deliciously. Right from appetizer to main course and dessert, everything is just delicious. Started with quite a few mocktails and they were refreshing. Glychee was litchi based mocktail- had perfect litchi syrup. Mojito was as refreshing as you can ask for. Tried quite a few other mocktails and they all were refreshing. Goes well with the appetizers. Combination of veg and non-veg starters was great. They had separate Pani puri and chaat counter. Also, a live pizza making counter left me awestruck. Crispy corn was awesome. Coming to grill section- cheesy brocolli, honey chilli pineapple, mushroom, paneer, and corn were some of the delicious dishes in veg. In non-veg, prawns, chicken, fish were served over grill. Besides, perfectly marinated and grilled luscious leg pieces (Tandoori tangdi) tawa fried fish with bone, and mutton kheema pav fuelled the hunger.
Main course too was great here. Just like appetizer, it perfectly set the tone. Started with tomato soup and chicken manchow soup. Both the soup dishes were served hot. Liked mutton khichda and chicken dum biryani. Egg masala and dum ka murgh were also delicious preparation in main course. Tender chicken pieces in routinely gravy. In veg, paneer butter masala and butter tossed hakka noodles were great choice. Kashmiri tadka aloo goes well with dal and tandoori roti. That was a great mix for rice and dal too. After a sumptuous meal, headed towards the dessert counter and to my surprise they had lots of options here also. Gulab jamun, chocolate brownie, red velvet pastry, chocolate pastry, phirni, moong dal halwa, jelly belly, Mawa cake, and ice cream alongside varieties of kulfi. All the desserts were delicious and ended our meal perfectly. Overall, this is a great place to be in. Serving staff is happy to prepare the dishes as per your choice. If you feel that the certain dish shall be prepared according to your need- they will do it happily. You can confidently tell them about your choices and they won't let you feel down. I just wanted tandoori tangdi a bit spicy and they happily obliged me by serving my kind of tandoori tangdi. You can try this trick with any other dishes they have and let me assure you, you won't be disappointed. A must visit...
Read moreThis feedback is especially pertaining to your Atria Mall outlet in Worli Mumbai. We've been a regular at Barbeque Nation over many years. Infact i was invited as a guest at the inauguration of your very first outlet in Kolkata at RDB Boulevard, Sector V, Salt Lake City. Now in Mumbai i regularly visit Nerul and CBD Belapur outlets with my family.
However I regret having taken 12 of my office colleagues today to Barbeque Nation at Atria Mall, Worli, Mumbai. I had the option of going to Global Fusion next door - what a big mistake i did by not going there.
The menu spread was drastically curtailed and cutting corners was screamingly evident through and through.
The start was serving veg starters to the non vegetarians despite protests. Then came the chicken tikka kebabs which didn't look fresh and only fish and pineapple. On pushing for other items reluctantly came the prawns charred on top and undone inside which would only happen if it's put on the grill straight out from the freezer. And yes the chicken wings, grossly undercooked. When we asked for the chicken tangdi kebabs to be served we were told that the wings were there instead of the tangdi kebabs. This blew my top and we asked for the menu which is always placed on the table. On repeated requests we were told that the menu is available only at the reception desk. Then on realising that we will not give a good feedback, we were served some differently marinated chicken kebabs and chicken tangdi kebabs. After repeated requests we were served the mutton seekh - thin slices deep fried in oil, clearly left overs being repurposed.
Now coming to the desert counter there were hardly two types of items with fruits and kulfi. When we asked where's the Firni first we were told that it's not there and after some time a few cups we're placed saying these were getting refilled.
The Kulfi counter takes the cake though - on asking, the person served half from one kulfi stick and kept the other half back in the freezer. We had to literally insist on him to add the full stick and then again request the vermicelli falooda to be added that we got a few strands added to the kulfi.
Seriously what an appalling and demeaning experience despite paying a considerable amount for the buffet. And the best part and the biggest irony was that each one of them at the restaurant was requesting to be given an excellent rating.
Please shut down these kind of shops of your not making enough money than ruining the brand name please and spare is from...
