We recently hosted our Teachers’ Day lunch at China Bistro, Worli, and it was nothing short of exceptional. With over 100 guests, including our dedicated educators, school management, and PTA members, the restaurant handled the event with grace, warmth, and flawless coordination.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set the tone—elegant, welcoming, and perfect for a celebration of gratitude. The Pan Asian buffet was a culinary delight, featuring everything from delicate dim sums and sushi to rich Thai curries and wok-tossed favorites. The complimentary mocktails added a thoughtful touch that made the afternoon even more special.

The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring every guest felt valued and comfortable. Organizing a lunch for 100 people is no small feat, but China Bistro made it look effortless. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at China Bistro especially Mr. Shubham for helping us create a memorable and meaningful tribute to our teachers. After opting for the Robato option, we were made to wait for more than half an hour before the food was served. Once served, the starters were not replenished, and we were left waiting for over half an hour. Every time we asked about it, a different waiter approached us, repeatedly asking the same question: “What do you want to eat?” We had to list the same items multiple times, yet nothing was done.

If this is a deliberate business strategy to delay service in order to make customers feel full or leave out of frustration or embarrassment, it is utterly disgraceful. My recent visit to China Bistro was absolutely fantastic, and while the food—as always—was delicious and the ambiance was perfect, the real highlight was the service provided by Noor. His behavior was not just polite, but genuinely extremely kindful and warm. He was incredibly attentive to our table without ever being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. ​Whether it was providing excellent recommendations from the menu.
