I have fond memories of Firebowl from my college days, and when I was in Andheri recently, I decided to visit with my colleagues. The decor has seen a small but noticeable improvement with the addition of a fish tank, which gives the place a fresh look. Firebowl mainly serves Chinese food, and on this visit, we chose to have Indo-Chinese dishes.
We started with Veg Dumplings, which were decent. The outer layer could have been softer, but the filling was good, and the accompanying sauce complemented them well. They also serve fried noodles with Schezwan chutney, similar to what you find at street food stalls, and it was a good way to get started with the meal.
For the starters, we tried Hunan-Style Paneer Dry. The gravy and preparation were nice. However, the paneer was a bit chewy and did not feel as soft and of a good quality as one would expect. For the main course, we had Veg Burnt Chili Rice. The rice was delicious, spicy, and flavorful enough to not need any additional sauce or gravy.
Overall, it was a decent visit. The service was friendly, though the food took a little longer than expected to arrive. The seating is comfortable, but the glasses could have been cleaner.
If you are around this area and in the mood for Indo-Chinese food, Firebowl is worth a visit. The paneer dishes are okay, but the texture might not be for everyone.

Read moreFire Bowl is a relaxed little spot in Lokhandwala, specializing in Indian Chinese cuisine, perfect for a small gathering of up to six people. With a simple yet pleasant ambience, it’s a comfortable place to enjoy a casual meal with friends or family. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, typically around 20-25 minutes, as the seating is limited and the place is often in demand.
The food here is decent, though not groundbreaking. Portions are satisfying, and while the flavours are enjoyable, they may not leave a lasting impression. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, so keep that in mind when planning your outing.
One area for improvement is the service. During my visit, there were only 2-3 waiters on hand, which slowed things down, particularly during peak hours. That said, the staff members were polite, friendly, and professional, making the experience pleasant despite the slight delay.
Overall, Fire Bowl is a good spot if you’re looking for a relaxed meal with decent Indian Chinese options, but be ready for a wait and moderate...
