@cafepairadiceGame On The Mumbai rains are very enticing. It totally induces one to pause and indulge in doing something silly. On a day such as this I was smitten by a mood such as this and found myself making my way to the ‘Pair a Dice Café’ at Oshiwara, in Mumbai. The décor was chilled and reminded me of a teenager’s room. The café came alive with board games and had a chilled air. I found myself pretty drawn o the shelf that housed the games. I learnt that none of these games were from India. Garima Bagrecha, the founder invested a lot of thought while planning the café. She stated that she wanted her visitors to cherish an out of the box café experience, and I must add that she has been pretty successful at that. The choice of games was refreshing taking a complete departure from the mundane lot. While Garima Lunawat Bagrecha and I found us getting engrossed in a game named ‘Spot It’, her enthused staff absolutely took over making me feel at ease. Deepak, our servitor went an extra mile to get me a cuppa chai. Infact they went a length up to arrange for a cup for me, since I was craving a cup. They did this inspite of not having the beverage on the menu. The café has a varied menu, with fun names attributed to each of the eatables. I started on the ‘Patchwork on Pizza’s – which was a Mexican delight. The pizza was delicious complete with a homemade base and Mexican Toppings. The ‘Muse Cottage Cheese with Barbeque Sauce’, was simply delicious. The ‘‘Spot it’ – Avocado on toast’ was simply delightful. I have a fetish for mushrooms, and the 'Zingo Baked Mushroom’, totally did the trick. The dish comprised of a three-cheese mushroom. I haven’t been much of a freak-shake person, but the ‘Boss Monster’ was the best I have had so far. This is a classic Oreo freak-shake. My sweet tooth certainly got the better of me, and I took a dig into the ‘Bang On Kitkat’ freak-shake too. Both these are must have’s at the ‘Pair a Dice Café’. All in all, the visitation to the café was an absolute delight. I even had a chance to interact with their in house chef Rintu and Babulal. It was indeed a day well spent. A perfect place for family and friends to meet and catch up with!

Talking of pair a dice, what comes in ur mind? Dice right? Like board games? And that’s exactly the thing is, you can play games and have tasty food over here! . This place located in oshiwara is truly a hidden gem by the dishes served and also the theme which they have. You can play board games and that too here there are more than 300 board games and yes they are chargeable but if you take their packages it is much more cheaper! Also they have dart game where 10 rounds of dart are given only for ₹50/- like wow in 10 rounds total 30 darts! . Coming to the food we tasted- 1. Bruschetta - It was perfect in taste and also the toppings were cooked perfectly and cheese had its own taste which was making this taste much better, eat this hot only then only you will enjoy! 4 pieces of bruschetta was worth the price! 2. Mexicana nachos - Truly saying, the best nachos I had because their hot cheese sauce was just amazing and also they were overloaded nachos they had beans, veggies and all which was just enhancing the taste of nachos and I will recommend you all to try their nachos! 3. Khus khus with paneer steak and wedges - They have added this item newly in the menu, and its a healthy alternative to rice and also it was very tasty! Paneer steak pieces were huge and also potato wedges were cooked perfectly. If you like khus khus then its a must try for you all! 4. Oreo shake - Oh heaven, look at the picture and I still get cravings for that shake! Huge and tasty! Plus the rate was justified. I toh loved this plus presentation was top notch! Shake was thick and tasty. Again highly recommended! 5. Blue caracao - It was a lemonade flavour, sweet in taste and a bit sour but if you really enjoy mocktails then you can surely go for this! Overall, its a great place to hangout with friends and family and also their board game ranges for age 7-99 which means everyone can play and also they teach how to play if you are unaware of the same. They have adult games as well, to spice it up! This has become my hangout place to chill with friends, do visit and enjoy! Follow me on instagram @about_every_damnthing

PAIR A DICE CAFE It's been a while since i wanted to visit this place. Its a fun place to go to with a group of friends, just chilling playing board games and eating some yummy food. The games are not free they are chargeable at per hour per head basis. This cafe might be a little hard to locate in case you're not familiar with the area. It's located on the first floor so keep ur eyes on the sign boards. The place is small but spacious. The decor is fun, exciting and very vibrant. They offer some good food here at reasonable prices which is great. I had the cheese fondue and a salad. Cheese Fondue: Hot cheese fondue served with a side of french fries, potato wedges, bread croutons and stir fried veggies. It was absolutely amazing with a great cheese flavour which went really well with the other things. This is sufficient enough for 3 people to eat. Mexican Caesar Salad : Honestly this was a let down and needs to include more veggies. It was just a bunch of lettuce leaves, bell peppers and olives tossed in a very vinegarry dressing which was a bit strong. Plus it lacked the croutons which would've given it a bit of texture The service was good and quick. The ambience is a plus point and the concept of a board game cafe with quick bites of food is fun. We love games and the 'togetherness' they promote Board games can't be played alone So come 'PAIR-A-DICE' with us - it's game on!! and there goes the wonderful line all suggested by the creators of this 'one-of-a-kind' café. With the young generation totally indulged with their trendy smartphones, busy updating their social media statuses, moreover with online gaming.....'Pair-A-dice' cafe has stepped up with a view of promoting togetherness by emphasizing on 'Non-digital Entertainment' with the help of board games.....Well what's so unique about this cafe With more than 100 uncommon and unique board games on their list one gets a chance to learn something new and spend some quality time with their friends and yes not to forget about the good food that they provide.

Every Restaurant/café has it's own way of naming the items on their menu and so have café pair-a-dice done the same with some noticeable tittles of food items by combing the names of board games with the dish. So here's what we tried:

  1. The Pink city Pasta board games with Pasta, and it does really go well. Just not done with pink sauces yet and found another great variation with an extra layer of creamy goodness and cheese. Penne Pasta cooked in this extraordinary pink sauce, consisting of a blend of tangy tomatoes & cheese sauce was an absolute delight.

  2. LINKEE To Panini Well as the café all stands for it's view of 'Non-digital Entertainment' and name the food items on the basis of board games this dish is one such example Something cheesy, yet light to start of with Giving the regular sandwich a twist, bread stuffed with sautéed veggies which include the Chef's signature sauce and cheese all grilled and right on your table .....

  3. Virgin Mojito A refreshing drink all made with simple ingredients with fresh lime juice, mint leaves and sparkling water.....one will surely love the fizz and refreshing taste of this drink.

  4. BOUNCE OFF Mocktail A combination of Blue Curacao Syrup and Soda with a hint of mint......the bright and alluring look of this fizzy drink is something you gotta have this summer

  5. Mexican Bhel A recipe right from the kitchens of mexico on your table. A burst of flavours and colours with multi ingreidients on your table, this was indeed an ideal appetizer, all focusing on the tang and crunch of this creation consisting of crispy tortillas with veggies, kidney beans and of course salsa sauce, you just can't miss out on this.

  6. BOSS MONSTER OREO Another glorious shake all known for its appealing look and it's mighty taste that you would definitely love A beautiful jar consisting of Oreo milkshake, all enhanced with the cover of the swirling whip cream embellished with Oreo cookies on its edges, Quality time with friends? well this is one complete drink...
