These 3 stars are only for the ambience & not for the food at all. They have more options in non-vegetarian dishes than the veg. It would have been still okay with few veg cuisines as even with fewer varieties if the food is tasty there's no complaint but, with high expectations, we went to the grand restaurant & sadly came back with anger & sad face.
You may feel to visit the place to witness the sunset & keep watching the stars till late night but, u will starve for sure. We had ordered a platter which had ordered Patis & a few more things. Forget about the tasty food but, for the first time in my life, I had a Sweet Patis with the pieces of cloves. :/ who puts cloves in patis, please tell me? Another thing we ordered was a starter of baby corn. While we kept waiting for almost 1hour 45mins for them to serve despite complaining & asking for our order again & again...however, when finally it came at 11 pm we felt like now at least it should be tasty. And what happens, we see that they have got the baby corns not separating it from the bhutta but, directly the bhutta itself. They had cut 5-6 pieces from the bhutta & inserted a bamboo stick in between. I mean we travelled from central to Juhu & are paying for the front row seat for the view while waiting for almost 2 hours for the food to be served & what is that for, to hold the bhuttas with bamboo sticks & have our dinner? If I really wanted to have that I would have bought one & had it comfortably at my home. Who likes to go to an expensive restaurant & have a bhutta that makes the mouth a mess in front of posh people sitting at the restaurant? When u pay so much & can't have Ur food comfortably what's the point of going to an expensive hotel, that serves food when the customer's empty stomach almost gives up to eat or order anything else. & On top of that isn't even tasty. I would advise everyone to visit the restaurant for the view but not for the food. Yes, you can do a jugaad of having food somewhere at the nearby restaurants or I may say at the dhabas & then enter the restaurant an hour before the sunset. U can order a wine inside & sit for hours & hours. Although liquors are costly too but, better to invest in drinks rather...
Read moreThey had a minimum entry fee of 15k and it was no where written. I made the booking with Eazydiner app in advance and after reaching the venue we were told that sir you will have to spend minimum 15k, we can bring it down to 10k for you. I looked at my fiancée, she was really disappointed with that surprised look on my face. It was not like we couldn't spend 10k. It was more about travelling all the way there, passing through that slow moving traffic and being super hungry and getting to know this at the end. Now we wouldn't spend a single penny here. It just ruined my surprise for her. I loved this place in the pictures and heard good reviews about it as well. I wanted to got there from last 2-3 years. I tried to find a contact number once to reach out to this place on the same evening. I wanted to ask them to arrange a candle light dinner for us if they can, however there was no direct contact info available on google for calling them. If I had to call them, then I would have to open a Justdial link or something to find their number and call them, I thought I have a confirmed booking lets just go there, it is going to be nice. And when we reached there, we got to know about this condition, it was really surprising in a bad way. We left that place, walked about a kilometer or two to find another place, waited there for another 30 mins and then finally had the dinner served.
It was the worst Valentine's day for us because for you guys. I hope you work on being clear about your terms and conditions for entry. I had to edit this review because I couldn't reply to your comment. It makes me super angry and sad at same time, thinking about that day. I am not visiting your place again that...
Read moreHad read about this place as great in various reviews. But after visiting felt they were more of paid reviews.
Ambience - 2.5 / 5. Had gone on 25th December evening. Evening was pleasant, hence relieved. The place is not very well lit. There was a marriage happening in adjacent premise making it very noisy and irritating.
Amenities - 0/5. Found it very weird rather cheap when we were told that if we had to sit on the first sofa, would have to have a bill above Rs. 2500 or more(can't remember the exact amount ) but found the condition very weird for a 5 star internationally renowned brand. One could have still had a time cap. And if there was some scheme like this , why was this not informed to customer in advance.
Attitude - 2/5. Serving staff was very polite and good.
However , we had booked the place thru dine out app and had a discount which was mentioned in the app. Despite showing it to the lady staff who served us and checking twice and showing her the app, she said there were no discounts since it was a no discount day . When the other staff actually came to collect the payment and we showed the same to him, he went and gave us the discount that was due from the app. All this even though we had informed in advance that we had made the booking thru app. Beautiful co-ordination indeed.
Food - 1/5 we had a potato based chaat item which was just ok. The iced tea that we ordered was extremely sour and had great room for improvement . Overall...
