Hotel Gajanan (Pure Veg) — Restaurant in Mumbai

A humble restaurant that is located in a very busy lane, always full of hungry people who come here for their simple yet soul satisfying food. The ambience is not that great, but the place is hygienic. Staff is very polite and their service is very quick. Have tried their food multiple times and always liked it, especially their South Indian cuisine. We had the following to eat : Ghee Onion Rawa Masala Dosa - It was absolutely as yummy as it sounds. The flavor of ghee and butter on the crisp dosa was lip smacking. The potato masala was delicious and in generous quantity. To add to that, their chutney and sambhar was thick and tasty..😍 Sweet Kachori - Kachori with the outer covering made of a thin layer of potato fried till golden and crispy and the inside, a sweet mixture of coconut, jaggery, sesame seeds and sugar was mouth watering. Combining it with the sweet dahi was a joy ride. A filling dish...

Ordered Cheese Pavbhaji twice from this place last week. No online order option so you need to call(don't prefer this option).

They pack bhaji's in plastic bag and not container. Probably to keep the rates down, Which i guess is fair.

Pavbhaji was great, That's why ordered twice. There are other places but this place is cheaper in comparison. And quality is good. Only bad thing is cheese comes as a thick cube with the bhaji, Probably because they are not using container. I guess the good option would be to mix the cheese in bhaji...

Owner is greedy & shameless

I ordered Punjabi thali today after waiting for 25-30 min waiting served. Thali....but kept waiting for 20 minutes for Pulav rice .so finally left without pulav & ice cream...when try to complained on cash counter.....there was no regret on owners face & instead of shouting on waiter he was telling him not to take Punjabi thali order in rush hour.......I never saw this kind of shameless person in my life specifically in restaurant business......this chep people will never grow up...
