The place is just outside the Charni road station East, you can see this place from the skywalk itself. On weekends you will find a really good young and family crowd at the same time you will experience a lot of people here. This place (The whole khau gali) only serves veg and you will get food in the price range of Rs. 40 to Rs. 200-250. It's a really nice place if you want to explore the food and don't want to be too harsh on your pocket as well. The place serves chaat, veg tikka, Franky, rolls, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, juice and shakes etc
The things which I tried and want you to experience are:
Paani Puri - So we started with chaat and we chose to try it from the shop so the puri which they served was of rawa so I will recommend you to try the chaat from the stall which is on the street and serves different types of paani.
Chinese bhel - This we tried from the street side stall but I felt this could have been better as I did not find that tangy taste and I have tried better at many places. Schezwan was not that spicy and I felt that something was missing.
Tandoor paneer pizza - So I tried it from the shop that was just next to the paani Puri shop. The pizza was of the thin crust base and I felt it was okayish. You can better try it from the pasta stall the one on the street.
Veg tikka : So at this tikka place you can get potatoes, tomatoes, mushroom and Shimla mirch tikka. I recommend you to try this for just Rs. 40 plate and you can experience good food here. The tikka is served with onion and green chutney. ❤️ Recommended
Pasta - We tried pink sauce penne pasta. It was definitely worth it. Tangy taste, good quantity and range is of 70-200 you shall visit this stall. You can choose your own pasta and the sauce.
After this we took a break as we wanted to explore more but our stomach started saying no, so we took one jaljeera soda from the stall just next to the tikka stall and went for a walk to see some nearby places. Then we came back with the bang. After the break we tried
Mysore dosa - So frankly speaking I like dosa crunchy but the one which they served was soggy and I feel that you can skip the dosa part here or at least the Mysore dosa you can skip. You can try some other better dosas.
Bellbottom shake : Last but not the least I'll definitely recommend you to try this. With the toppings of dry fruit, one scoop of vanilla, blue berry and thick shake of strawberry and blue berry. You will love it. I wanted to try this and I did not regret it.
You can also find Franky, sandwiches and other stalls. I only tried all this but there is much more variety. For Western line you just need to take a slow train and get down at Charni road station. Whereas for the central and harbour line people you need to get down at dadar and then you can take the churchgate slow train and get down at Charni...
Read moreIt's was good, initially I thought there will be too much food available as can be seen from other reviews online but it wasn't so. Just because Hinduja college is nearby, normal shops are there, the only place I liked was shalimar juice centre, pretty full with people because of alcohol shop near by but there juice is more tasty and economical than the alcohol 😁😉 I tried there special Dabangg juice, trust me, it was worth at rs 140. Other fast food such as burger, vadapaon, pizzas is very common here. Not as good as khau Galli in ghatkopar. Also I would recommend to try Frankie's at say cheese here if u r a...
Read moreNothing much to explore. Same fast food you can find at any street around Mumbai. Nothing special to go for. Same dosa, noodles, fries, cheap quality burger disgusting juices are available. Nearby churni road station. Only good thing is price if each item is kept within a decent budget. Completely passable. Don't waste your time and money. Even things unhygienic over there. If find it helpful, kindly like it, so I can be more helpful to others....
