Located in an area where there are many renowned food places.
Pop Tate's, Times square is spacious, lively and has a fun vibe making it a perfect place to watch a game, hang out with friends or just chill.
The service is slightly slow but good.
We went as a large group and this is what we ordered:-
•Loaded Nachos: Came as a generous portion with a perfect balance of cheese and beans.
•Jalapeno Cheese poppers: They were an instant hit amongst both adults & kids.
•Broccoli cheese bites: Would have preferred if the broccoli was cooked a little more.
•Amritsari and Multani paneer: Made with melt in the mouth paneer which was beautifully spiced. Definitely a must try.
•Bourbon Chicken wings: Beautifully cooked wings with the meat coming out of the bones with ease having hints of Bourbon. Definite a must try.
•Chicken Noisette: True to it's description it's a thin fillet of chicken stuffed with olives and cheese.
Pizza:
• Exotic Farm House pizza: Though they did ask if we wanted mushroom or not and we asked for no mushroom. The pizza actually came with mushrooms.
•Indi Paneer pizza: One of the best of the lot. It did taste really good.
•BBQ paneer pizza: Was a disappointment. Came with hardly any paneer and most of which was burnt.
Sizzlers:
• Exotic veggies & Oriental veggies sizzler. Both came as a generous portion but they lacked in the flavour department.
Drinks: • Jamun lemonade: This drink was definitely a miss. It lacked the balance of lemonade and jamun to top it the excess spice( chaat/jaljeera) made it pretty off balance.
• Spicy guava: Definitely better than the jamun lemonade but could be better
• LIIT: It was a mild drink but refreshing.
Desserts:
• Mango tres leches: Absolutely worth it.
• Mango almond pastry: Another feast to the palate. Melt in the mouth, not overly sweet but having the beautiful balance of mango and almond.
• Choco almond cheesecake was also good.
Overall while its a really good place to chill. They really need to up...
Read moreI’m a real fan for Poptates food, drinks, service and the ambience. I usually visit the one located at Sakinaka and decided to visit the one at Times Square as it was newly opened and had so many reviews for it being the largest outlet in India. To my dismay I had a really terrible experience. I ordered for a couple of LIIT’s- Mandarin, Mandarin Passion and Mandarin Sunset (Mandarin being my usual order). All were either too bitter or sour. When highlighted to the manager- Saroj Naidu he said he’ll have it taken care of, took the drinks away added a ton of sugar syrup to make the drinks sweet and claimed it to be his own special recipe. The drinks were not even close to what it usually is when we order it at Poptates Sakinaka branch. The staff had no knowledge about the dishes or drinks we wanted to try. They were all gathered at one corner not being bothered about the service we literally had to wait for so long to have someone’s attention for every time we needed to either order or complain. The guys working at Poptates Times Square were just all standing in groups. At a point I seen them standing besides their manager Mr. Naidu and neither did he bother to ask them to pay attention and move around to check if any guest needed anything. We had to literally move from that branch and we came back to our usual Poptates Sakinaka branch. The boys working at Poptates Sakinaka branch are really attentive, knowledgeable and are helpful. They literally care for their customers and make sure to give their 1000% unlike the Poptates staff at Times Square. I have left another review for Poptates Sakinaka branch on their review...
Read moreI recently visited Pop Tate's and had a mixed experience that I feel is worth sharing.
First off, the atmosphere is fantastic! The place is adorned with interesting artifacts and has live TV playing, which adds to the lively vibe. The lighting is cozy, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal.
However, I did encounter some issues with the menu. Notably, there was no indication of spice levels for the dishes, and the staff didn't seem to inquire about our preferences in this regard. If spice is an important factor for you, I highly recommend asking about it before ordering. For instance, the Jamaican jerk chicken was extremely spicy—definitely not for the faint of heart!
On the service front, my experience was disappointing. The staff was slow to respond, and I found myself having to call them multiple times just to get their attention. This definitely detracted from the overall experience.
On a brighter note, the sizzlers were delicious and lived up to expectations—mouthwatering and satisfying!
In summary, while Pop Tate's has a charming atmosphere and some standout dishes, the lack of attention from the staff and the absence of spice level information are areas that need improvement. If you're planning to visit, be prepared to advocate for your needs and enjoy...
