Food Review: Homemade Non-Veg Thali (Fish Special)
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious homemade non-veg thali, and it was truly a heartwarming and satisfying experience. The star of the meal was the fish curry — perfectly cooked, tender, and infused with a rich blend of spices that hit all the right notes. It had that unmistakable homestyle touch you just can’t find in restaurant food.
The thali included steamed rice, a tangy fish curry, dry sabzi, dal, and a side of pickle and salad. Everything complemented each other beautifully. The dal was simple yet comforting, with just the right amount of tempering. The dry vegetable added a nice contrast to the meal, balancing the richness of the fish.
What made the experience special was the freshness of the ingredients and the evident love put into cooking. The flavors were authentic, and the spice levels were spot-on — enough to bring warmth without overpowering the dish.
If you’re someone who enjoys soulful, homestyle meals, this non-veg thali with fish is a must-try. It’s not just food — it’s comfort on a plate.

This is one of the delivery kitchens I really choose to order in from when I crave some delicious homely food with just the right amount of spices. Given the current situation only when we were assured of the safety precautions taken here that we decided to order in from Sangeeta's Kitchen. There are 2 outlets in Andheri East and both are famous for the thalis and fresh seafood dishes. I had previously ordered prawns masala and mandeli fry from here ,both were good quantity and quality wise. What I ordered recently was: 1.Chicken biryani - this was really good, perfectly spiced and the chicken was coated and cooked in some marinade before being added in the biryani which elevated the taste of the dish. 🍱 2.Chicken lollipop- Though I had ordered in for chicken schezwan lollipop I received just plain fry lollipop but It tasted good and was crispy so all was okay.🍗 3.Prawns koliwada- The dish I was the most excited about but was disappointed with. So prawns koliwada is supposed to be fresh succulent prawns batter fried so when you bite it into you go through the crunchy texture and then bite into the soft prawns inside. However in our dish the prawns were small in size, really overcooked and did not seem fresh and the outer batter was too thick and too crisp.🍤
Given my past experience with them though ,I could waive this off as a one off thing Because their food is really delicious especially their seafood.
Foodtasticmumbai rating-4/5 👌 We would recommend you guys to try their bombil fry, prawns masala and Chicken biryani if you are in the mood for some finger licking spicy...
Read moreThis place was once EXCELLENT for food preparation & service but like every other successful venture, this kitchen too is showing signs of sluggishness. Even then, today also I would give it a 5 Star for the authentic Marathi taste which we all Non-Maharashtrian janata crave for.
Positives:
NEGATIVES: The place can get too noisy due to arguments/bickering among family members while taking orders over phone for home/office delivery. While the plates/utensils are very clean, the tables & flooring aren't maintained well. The flooring feels sticky and grimy. Similarly, since the place has Zero ventilation, it doesn't smell fresh. Pure vegetarians may find it foul smelling. Service is slow, so if u r planning to grab some quick bites during lunchtime then order your food a good 30 minutes before you...
