I recently embarked on a gastronomic journey at Sesame, nestled within the luxurious confines of Hyatt Centric Juhu, Mumbai, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
Ambiance: Sesame exudes sophistication with its contemporary and upscale design, creating an ambiance that seamlessly blends modern Asian, traditional Indian, and authentic European influences. The open kitchen concept adds a dynamic touch, allowing guests to witness the artful preparation of meticulously crafted dishes. Every corner of Sesame is adorned with exquisite decor, providing a feast for the eyes and a perfect backdrop for social media enthusiasts.
Appetizers: The culinary voyage began with a trio of appetizers that set the tone for the evening. The Paradise Maki sushi was a symphony of flavors, combining fresh ingredients with expert precision. The Black Gold, a mysterious-sounding dish, turned out to be a delightful surprise with its unique blend of textures and tastes. The Cheese Cilantro Toast added a comforting touch, showcasing the chef's mastery in transforming simple ingredients into gastronomic wonders.
Salads: The Avocado Arugula Edamame Bowl in the salad course was a refreshing interlude, presenting a perfect balance of creamy avocado, peppery arugula, and the pop of edamame. Each bite was a celebration of freshness, proving that salads at Sesame are far from ordinary.
Main Course: For the main course, I indulged in the Thai Green Curry served with fragrant Jasmine Rice. The curry boasted an authentic blend of Thai flavors, transporting my taste buds to the streets of Bangkok. The jasmine rice complemented the curry perfectly, creating a harmonious marriage of tastes that left a lasting impression.
Desserts: As the culinary journey reached its sweet crescendo, the Belgian Chocolate Delight and the White and Dark Chocolate Mousse stole the spotlight. The desserts were a masterpiece of decadence, with each bite revealing layers of rich, velvety chocolate goodness. It was a sweet symphony that concluded the evening on a high note.
Service: The attentive and knowledgeable staff at Sesame added to the overall experience, providing recommendations and ensuring that every dish was presented with precision and care. Their commitment to excellence elevated the dining experience to unparalleled heights.
In conclusion, Sesame at Hyatt Centric Juhu, Mumbai, is a culinary haven that transcends traditional boundaries. It's not just a restaurant; it's an immersive experience where artful presentation meets exceptional taste. From appetizers to desserts, every dish is a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. Sesame is not just a dining destination; it's a celebration of fine food, impeccable service, and an ambiance that lingers in your memory. I wholeheartedly recommend Sesame to anyone seeking a culinary adventure that transcends...
Read moreLocated in Juhu, Sesame ( Hyatt Centric ) is a contemporary urban upscale restaurant that promises its patrons the best of modern Asian, traditional Indian, and authentic European cuisine in a highly aspirational ambiance. And it delivers!
The moment you walk into the restaurant, you will be mesmerized by the plush, cozy interiors and how effortlessly intimate the sesame feels. All the tables are spaced well, and there’s soft instrumental music in the background, which makes it feel luxurious yet perfect for spending quality time with friends and family!
Coming to the food we tried:
Wasabi edamame hummus with pita bread : The chef used edamame instead of chickpeas. While the hummus was subtly flavoured and had nites of wasabi, it could've used a little more garlic.
Veg Tempura sushi: One of the bestsellers, this one was an absolute treat to eat.
Spinach and bamboo shoot dim sum: The dim sum had spinach and bamboo shoot filling inside and a bit of garlic at the top for that burst of flavour. If you like your dim sums with a subtle flavour, you can try this. If not, they have lots of other dim sum options to choose from.
Lotus stem honey sesame chilli: For a vegetarian, lotus stem honey sesame chilli is a god send appetiser. I absolutely enjoyed this one; it was crunchy and spicy, and very very yummy!
White vegetable manchow soup: This one is again a bestselling dish the restaurant has to offer. If you're someone who enjoys soup, you can order this at Sesame.
Vegetable Thai green curry & Jasmine rice: Hands down easily one of the best thai green curry i've ever eaten (and that includes at least 20 - 30 asian restaurants). This one is a must try at Sesame!
Sweet pepper tofu: I loved how the tofu was literally so soft, but when it came to the taste I found this okay.
Phad ke Mao: The flavours were absolutely on point. It was spicy, greasy and had a lot of flavour. Note: they use rice noodles which can be a slight bit chewy.
Tum tim krob: This dessert is unlike anything you've ever eaten in your life! If you ever go to sesame, you absolutely need to give it a try. (Yep this is that good!)
Overall, Sesame is a great place when you want to catch up with your friends and family over...
Read moreI want to review this place and share my recent experience at Gingerbread house making workshop which I had attended with my family. Although the food is top- notch, this place is full of misco- ordination and negativity among co- workers ! Staff attending the clientele has no sense how to talk to customers. They're full of unnecessary and stupid attitude as if they own the place! Absolutely zero with regards to hospitality and management. Its a big shame Hyatt can't hire well- educated and trained staff. I would particularly like to point out Miss Manasi who attended us made a few derogatory comments, once saying rudely that if we understand English ! What on earth made her think and speak to a customer in that way! She also gave a continuous and terrible stare to my daughter and my family while we clicked pictures and while we were having food. If clicking pictures is not allowed, you should simply inform us, but this attitude is simply inhuman and unacceptable! We're paying for not only good food but good time and good vibes, but this place absolutely lacks it due to its unfriendly and egoistic staff. Our experience was very disappointing and gruesome . I would never recommend this place to my family and friends. I will surely be escalating this matter to all the Hyatt management in Mumbai and India. For a renowned Hotel like Hyatt, staff like Miss Manasi can only tarnish the image of Hyatt, which it has earned over years! Its high time Hyatt should replace, upgrade, and train staff to preserve its name when there are competitors like J W Marriott, Ramada around.
With the hope that these reviews will be taken seriously and rectified in the future.
