Cafe 49 - 49 Bakers Avenue — Restaurant in Mumbai

We visited this very very cute and aesthetic cafe @cafe49_bakersavenue in Juhu! It is at a prime location with the walking distance to the beach 🏖! Perfect for dates or just reading a book in a quiet corner, enjoying the weather enjoying the delicious coffee, drinks, food and desserts !!

Now for the drinks: Uptown Martini: This cocktail is very refreshing with the hint of passion fruit and a very prominent flavour of mint. It gives us a refreshing mojito vibe.

Billionaire coffee: This cocktail is actually very creamy, frothy and has a total strong coffee taste. Both these cocktails are very good for a beginner who wants a very nice and pleasant drink but not too sour. I absolutely loved it.

Caramel cold coffee: Very refreshing and yummy coffee. The right amount of sugar and caramel and froth.

Now for the food: Edamame truffle dimsums: These dimsums were so soft, It’s texture felt so good! Served in a Fancy wooden basket 🧺 .

Hallomi croissant 🥐: It was a good change to have a spicy and cheesy croissant rather than the good old sweet one. This is served with French fries and a cheesy sauce which adds to the appeal.

Mexican Sizzler: The Mexican Sizzler had Mexican rice, patty, French fries and a lot of Smokey veggies! It was served with salsa, mayo and guacamole. Salsa and guacamole where really good with amazing sour, Tangy Mexican flavour.

Desserts: Sizzling Brownie: This brownie is served with one vanilla scoop of ice cream. The unique difference from others is liked the brownies in the texture and was very dense. This brownie was very very dense and rich in chocolate.

Coffee mascopan: This is basically a super delicious tiramisu served in a cup made of chocolate. That’s right the cup is edible! This certainly adds to the fun element.

April 2025: It's a vegetarian cafe, with gluten free, Jain, and vegan options also available. The airconditioner❄️ is superb, which is something I really appreciate in this terrible Mumbai heat. They have a huge dessert menu, coffee/tea menu, and also cafe-style-munchies food. It's a hangout kind of space, with good music and friendly service. (They are attached to Sapphire Restaurant सफायर रेस्टोरेंट, in case you're interested in something more substantial to eat. There's an entry to Sapphire through the cafe space. And both eateries are supposedly attached to Emerald Hotel.) It's not excessively expensive for such a cool-Juhu-vibe space, sitting right across from Hotel Sea Princess (pricey area!). The clientele, from what I've seen so far, are the excessively rich types (with badly-behaved children in tow), which is about what you would expect in this part of Juhu... I'll definitely return for coffee and a more relaxed hangout, with my books and tablet in tow, to read and listen to podcasts in this nice space. Juhu now has a Most Beautiful & Instagrammable Cafe. Cafe 49 is a latest addition to the dining scenes in Juhu. Certainly loved the whole vibe here, it’s so pretty and dreamy! Totally loved the whole vibe. A perfect date place

The ambience is so beautiful & pretty. You’ll just love to spend time here. It’s the most beautiful place to be at. The menu is so simple and yet full of options. I ordered for Mexican Sliders, Salsa Pani Puri, Halloumi & Exotic Vegetable Croissant. I totally loved all the dishes. It were presented so nicely. Salsa Pani Puri was so good and worth trying just loved the flavours. The Slider was just too good. Lastly had a Blueberry Cheesecake, it is just a must have here! I loved the presentation and the taste was damnnn soo good! It was so blissful.
