Visited sunlight with group of friends some time back. Believed to be a competitor to kitkat, this college crowd puller is good to go when one is low on budget and want to booze in a place like SOBO. The ambience is like any other shady bar. There is mostly waiting on weekends so expect a waiting of 10 mins atleast and make it a point to carry cash. Also there's a jukebox which plays 90's song by paying a charge of Rs. 20/- per song. For the people who are okay with smoking can use the Ac room upstairs else it's recommended to sit downstairs.

In frame - Chicken Lollypop

1. Chicken Lollypop - (4/5) A perfect appetizer with cheap booze. The lollypop were crisp and spicy. Loved the Schezwan sauce. A must try.😊👍🏻

2. chicken crispy (4/5) normal crispy which we get at any restaurant with chicken and veggies tossed. However, the portion size is less for the price charged.

3. chicken triple rice (4/5) the triple rice was as expected but the gravy compliments it well again nothing extraordinary.

But all in all, a good experience to hangout at month end, total value for money, would visit again and surely recommended for people who aren't willing to spend much on hard drinks. The seating arrangement was, is always and will be forever pathetically done. They are not open to any feedback, will ask you to vacate the table quickly on a crowded day like a Friday, Saturday or Monday eveing regardless of the fact that you may have been waiting in a long line on a dirty street corner to get in.

Once you do get a seat the space is so small you have people bumping in to you while your eating their oily, poorly cooked and presented food. If you're a stag or with just one more person for ie:- your girlfriend or wife and, mistakenly happen to sit on a large table, they will make other people sit with you and indirectly ask you to adjust without first giving you a table to sit on.

They only take cash which means the restaurant owner must be dealing in black so there's no guarantee if the food you're eating is clean, regualtions are followed for cleanliness, fire, food licences, etc.

To the owner of Sunlight bar. Come out of the 20th century and be smart instead of being downright cheap. It will make you more money.

The jukebox is the only good thing they have.

This place has two floors to it, the ground and the first. The first is air conditioned, mostly accupied by college students while the ground floor accupied by others is not air conditioned.

It is one of those shady places where people prefer drinking with the music too high to hear your own voice. The vibe is drowsy and place almost always tight packed. The drinks here are one of the cheapest in town and you'll find on the menu card some snacks to munch along with it.

As you enter the first floor, you'll witness a puffy room for all the cigarettes that are smoked there. If you are someone who is just into social drinking, you are not going to like this place. It is NOT one of those fancy places where you are served drinks with style or have come to have some "quality time".

The waiters here are not the best you'll come across. They can be rude at times and can also ask you to move out of the place. It could be because they are used to people getting drunk and misbehaving, but that is that. If you are someone who is free going and not easily bothered, give it a shot.
