This is not Thai food . Not authentic . Ordered Khao pad and pad Thai and it was far from what the real deal is . The pad Thai was made using cheap instant noodles . Rice was anything but Thai . The chef who checks food or made the recipes should bow down I shame !! Sorry mate . This is unacceptable. When you charge premium buy genuine ingredients. These are street food , and your team can’t get the basics right . Hello general manager , please send your chefs to Thailand to taste the food so they know what they are cooking and serving . I felt cheated because being in TaJ I had high hopes about the food . Should have gone to some street cafe !! The front desk service and breakfast was good . The Indian wines I had at the bar were good too. If I had not visited the Thai restaurant my stay would have been perfect . My feedback was given to the wait staff and message passed down to the chefs . Please take some corrective action before more people complain!! There will be more people travelling to Thailand now there are daily two flights...
Read moreWas a guest at the hotel. A group of us booked NYE dinner at the restaurant. For an expensive restaurant the service was very poor. We ordered appetisers, half of the orders arrived long before the order half. We ordered mains, again had issues with food arriving at different times. In fact one order came so late that everyone else finished eating their food. The appetisers tasted alright. The tom yum soup wasn't spicy. The papaya salad was completely wrong. The worst one was the pad Thai. We ordered two with chicken and both didn't have chicken in it. They put tofu in the pad Thai. Lastly, the lobster was very strange. It wasn't what you would expect. It was my order and was looking forward to cracking open the lobster and digging into the meat. Being next to the sea thought maybe it would be a great lobster. What came was just a few pieces of lobster meat on a plate cooked. I suppose maybe I had different expectation, but come on!
Overall the restaurant is not authentic Thai food. Service was poor. Not worth the...
Read moreWalked in after years with pure Nostalgia, only to have the receptionist walk away just as we entered to seat another table. Had to wait for a good 10 minutes till someone came to ask us our name. On giving our booking reference , the girl didn’t seem to find our booking and called their manager whose name I think was Vimal on Sunday night. He went through the reservations and said that they’ve given our table to someone else, by this point we are 15-20 minutes in standing at the front waiting…
He then said he could accomodate us and took us to a round table which would seat around 8/10 people which I thought was absolutely crazy.
Coming from a a luxury hospitality background of hotels such as The President could better their hospitality venues and not take customers for granted that would be great.
I wouldn’t recommend and neither would ever come back. Thanks to how I was dealt with along with my mum who’s 67 and would have liked to have celebrated her...
