Barbeque Shack — Restaurant in Mumbai

Our recent visit to Barbeque Shack in Colaba was a bit of a mixed bag. We were a group of four looking forward to their chicken and seafood offerings. While we had initially anticipated a fully unlimited experience with the combo we chose, we were informed about the portions of certain seafood items upon arrival. We proceeded with our meal nonetheless.

We sampled a variety of dishes, including Manchow soup, Chicken Chilli, two types of tikka, Chicken Seekh Kabab, Fried Prawns, Fish Tikka, a prawn starter, and grilled pineapple. The food was generally average; it wasn't bad, but nothing truly stood out as exceptional, with one key exception: the honey spiced potatoes. These were cooked to perfection and had a delicious flavour that we all enjoyed – a definite highlight of the meal. The other dishes were decent enough, but not particularly memorable.

The service was prompt, and the staff were generally attentive. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, typical of a casual dining establishment.

Overall, our experience at BBQ Shack was okay. It wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't particularly memorable either, aside from the excellent honey spiced potatoes. If you're looking for a quick and casual meal and are aware that the seafood portions might be limited depending on the combo you choose, BBQ Shack might be worth a try. However, if you're seeking a truly exceptional dining experience, you might want to explore other options in the area. So I visited this place yesterday. We were a group of 4 and had a booking for 2 hours from 7:30-9:30.

The food and menu started at 7:40 comprising of manchow soup, Chicken chilly Starter, 2 Types of tikka, Chicken Seekh Kabab, Fried Prawns, Fish Tikka and a prawns Starter. Overall food is pretty average it's not something you would like to keep eating which is fair enough. In the menu the best thing was honey spiced potatoes those were just perfect.

The thing about my visit that bugged me the most was the waiter/manager coming to our table from 9:00 and asking us to wind up since there was a wating outside. I mean I had a booking for 2 hours for an unlimited meal, why should I even be told to evacuate before my time. This Dropped overall experience alot cause service is as important as food. Also we were facing a payment issue as well at that time too the manager came and told us to hurry since there was waiting and the time was around 9:20 at that time. This is definitely not the right way in my opinion. Overall experience was okayish you can give it a try once but you wouldn't want to go again and again I am sure about that.

Also mid meal I was asked to change my table and I happily obliged cause why not but if I knew this how they treat there customers I wouldn't have budged at all.

On a sidenote to anyone visiting, there are no washrooms and we were aware of that but anyone who is not aware plan accordingly. They do send us someplace three shops away but the hygeine there is a big no so plan...
