Tucked away in the charming lanes of Bandra, The Bagel Shop is an absolute hidden gem that offers a serene escape with its cozy sit-out area enveloped in lush greenery. From the moment we stepped in, the warmth of the staff and the inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for a delightful day. We indulged in their Lox & Shmear Bagel – done to perfection! The smoked salmon was silky and flavourful, complemented beautifully by the luscious cream cheese. Each bite was light and a perfect balance of textures and Flavors. The Anton (Goan Chorizo) Bagel – A flavourful delight! Packing a smoky, mild-spicy punch that paired harmoniously with the bagel’s airy, slightly crisp texture. The Islander (Roast Chicken) Bagel – Perfect! Succulent crispy roasted chicken, flavoured to perfection. Their Ginger Apple Soda— was refreshing to beat the Mumbai summer heat with the right balance of spice and fresh apple sweetness. They even paid attention to the minute detail of remembering our request for low on ice. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Pistachio Strawberry Cake, which was as gorgeous to look at as it was to devour—moist, decadent, and packed with richness and berry freshness. We also took home an assortment of their goodies: The Everything Bagel & the Simit (Bagel) – Soft and light, structured and flavourful. They stayed fresh and delicious for breakfast the next day. Their Chilli Garlic Cream Cheese – Creamy, well-balanced, and perfectly flavoured. We also took home their Earl Grey & Fig Tea Cake and the Lemon Tea Cake. The Earl Grey & Fig Tea Cake has now become our favourite with its delicate texture and delightful flavour. Their Lemon Tea Cake had a subtle citrusy flavour—refreshing and light – both tea time cakes were not at all dense. They were wonderfully textured & airy. The entire team at The Bagel Shop were warm, welcoming, attentive and wonderful. It was the perfect way to start our day on a holiday, and we can’t wait to return for more! Thank you to everyone at The Bagel Shop for such a wonderful experience. Highly...
Read moreI had ordered Mushroom Bagel Sandwich, Aglio Olio Pasta and Cold Coffee and everything was worse. The mushroom bagel sandwich priced at 489 just had sauteed mushrooms between the hard and dry buns. The size of it was of a street Vada Pav. The Aglio Olio Pasta, again priced at 489, was a handful of (lesser than 15rs maggie packet) over boiled spaghetti tossed in a pool of oil. There were literally no veggies in it, just the spaghetti and chilli oil with a pinch of coriander for garnishing. When asked about veggies, I was told you need to 'add veggies separately' which would cost additional. The cold coffee literally tasted like Amul Cool Vanilla. Please avoid going to this place especially when you are hungry and value your money. The place is too humid to even sit in, the AC section has minimal to no cooling, the washroom was like a public toilet. Shittiest Place I have ever been to by paying such a big amount. As expected, the place was largely occupied by people working away in their laptops in quiet corners.
Food: 4/5 We had the Smoked Chicken Ham Bagel & Vegan Classic Bagel. Both of which were amazing. Also loved the quality of the bagel itself.
We also ordered the buttermilk fried chicken burger which was very mediocre with a very thick bun and not enough ingredients inside the burger apart from the chicken.
Dessert: 5/5 We had the Chocolate Fudge Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was really good.
Ambience: 1/5 A lot of their indoor seating isn't really great and you're just too close to other tables. Outdoor seating is too hot. In a way one could call this place "cute" but that just means it's too cramped.
Service: 4/5 Decent service. Nothing to write home about but nothing bad either. Staff was attentive and knew to recommend items off...
