The Belgian Waffle Co — Restaurant in Mumbai

I had a very unpleasant and disappointing experience at Belgian Waffle. I ordered a premium waffle box of 6 waffles after being handed the menu and made the payment accordingly. Once the box was prepared, I noticed that some of the waffles included weren’t even listed on the menu I was shown.

When I questioned the staff, they casually replied that those menu items were not available. This wasn’t communicated to me at all before preparing the order or taking the payment. When I asked to change the selection, I was rudely told, “Only one waffle can be changed now since the box is ready.” There was no apology or effort to understand the inconvenience caused – just a very arrogant and unprofessional attitude.

To make matters worse, while waiting, I observed something extremely concerning: one of the staff members used a damaged waffle for an online order. I overheard the other guy telling him, “It’s an online order, who’s going to see it? Just make it.” This is absolutely unethical and unhygienic behavior.

This entire experience has left a very bad impression – from the lack of communication to the rude service and questionable kitchen practices. Definitely not visiting again, and I’d strongly advise others...

Good waffles

Feb 8 dessert: Having had the waffles at Carter Road, this time went to the Juhu outlet. The interiors consist of high table and bench for sitting. The waffles come in choco and dark choco variety. We had the belgian waffles. There was no overload of sweetness in the waffles and the taste was perfect. Another one was the strawberry cheesecake - even this was nice. However, I paid 30 bucks for extra strawberries and actually couldnt figure out the 'Extra' in the waffle. Further, for take away, while they give it in a paper bag, there is a charge of 10 bucks if you want...

The triple chocolate pancakes were pathetic as it felt very dry, upon asking the person to put more chocolate on pancakes she denied saying that's how we serve it.I've had the same pancakes in different outlets they were much better with the chocolate drizzle as well the pancakes. Also noticed a few cockroaches near my order.

Wouldn't recommend...
